The gasp is Jack emerging from the water after the plane crashes into the sea

The water sound is Jack climbing out the sea onto the steps of the lighthouse

The "ting" is the success chime when hacking a machine. There's also general ambient noises and electricity (from the electro plasmid) to make it seem empty and indicate lonliness

There isn't much dialogue in this song, but originally there was more, such as Atlas saying "I've got a family..." and "Find my family, please" but I took these out as the focus should be on the music here, not the vocals. Plus less vocals helps keep to the theme of loneliness for this song

There's a haunting sound here. This is echoed screaming from the occasional photo flashbacks.

The music is called "Busted Sub" from the soundtrack. It's used when Ryan blows up the submarine with Atlas's wife & child. But I felt this song shouldn't just be used as an incidental piece and wanted to use it for this song. I later discovered "BioShock 2" also uses "Busted Sub" during the end cut scenes
