"Shadow Dancer" is a track that I envisioned for years but really came together when I met the illustrious Dholi Master they call "Amar".

His spirit infuses this track and I am proud to present this as a part of my show reel. Matt Thorne did an exceptional job putting this track together.

This was written for the MTV show "Bad Girls Club". The song speaks for itself. Worth noting are the drums which are a NEW drum kit from 8DIO that sound UNBELIEVABLE. I am absolutely thrilled with this Drum Kit.

MERCURY RISING(featuring Kevin Comden on Guitar)

This was a track a wrote about a year ago and it just kind of sat in my hard drive for a while until I started to put together my musical showreel. This song immediately came to mind and I thought of my favorite Guitarist/Composers in L.A,  Dario Forzato. I knew his playing and soul would lift the song so I sent him the files and he recorded an amazing Guitar track/solo in his studio.

After mixing Dario's solo, I knew this track would need some authenticity so I emailed someone who is very well known in the business. A well known Sax Player/Composer in New York, Bryan Steele took the track and laid down a really thick and festive Brass section. Truth is…..that his playing really brought together the track.

Old friends, new friends, and music…that is what it's all about.

Just wanted to share this remix I did for a show on HBO called "Hamilton's Pharmacopeia".

At first, I was unsure how to translate this piece to the modern era. Once I found a steady tempo and a hard beat...the song kind of wrote itself. I love it when this happens. It almost feels like I am an archaeologist of songs and it is my job to uncover these wonderful pieces.

I use to think that making Music was the most important thing in life that one could achieve. Once I saw my wife give birth, that self-important notion ended right there and then...

GIVIN' MYSELF (Featuring "American Idol Finalist" Dennis Lorenzo)

My aim here was to create a new identity for this classic track.

This song was created for a Remix contest..of which I am sure to win =). I found 2 versions of the songs on iTunes, bought them, and began surgical edits right away. 

In essence, I created 3 versions of each song (total of 6). 
1. The Sampler (Serato Sample) - ran song through sampler
2. Original Version
3. Cut up bits and pieces and founds interesting transitions

I then treated #3 sections by slowing down, pitching, reversing...anything that inspired me really. The last step in the process was to take 1 more version of song and render it so it played at 50% of its original speed. When I slowed it down, I knew I had something special.

Creating music is a lot like fishing. As a creator, you wait for the right moment and see if today is going to give a favorable yield. I was working for about 2 hours until I found the winning recipe for this track. 808's are pretty gnarly too,
