House music legend Ian Pooley readies ‘Studio A Pt. 1’ for Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint this September.

Active since the early 90s, the German DJ/producer has released on the likes of Force Inc, V2 Records, and his own Pooledmusic, as well as remixing for the likes of Daft Punk, Deee-Lite, Carl Cox and many more. Here though, Pooley arrives on Rekids with his first ever contribution to the label, delivering three direct and grooving house tracks.

Leading the release, ‘Basic Juno’ sees modulating synth lines deftly placed around chunky drums accompanied by pulsing basslines and shimmering pads, before ‘Close Your Eyes’ brings a dose of trippy vocals and shuffling percussion amongst interplaying hardware for a punchy start to the B side. ‘303 (2 Bars)’ brings the release to a close with pounding drum machines, meaty acid lines, and blissful leads.

We’re not sure what they’re putting in the water over in Israel at the minute but it seems the middle eastern nation appears to be enjoying a wave of great electronic music at the moment from a new generation of talent from the country. From big names like Guy Gerber and Shlomi Aber to up and comers like Dor Levi and Omer Grinker it appears the state of Israel is one to watch for fresh new dance music. One of the latest act to emerge from the region is Tel Aviv duo Deep'a & Biri first came to our attention when making their full studio debut on DJ Hell’s International DeeJay Gigolo Records. Entitled ‘Emotions Visions Changes’ really impressed us at Data Transmission and firmly marked them out as ones to watch when it arrived last September.

With a smattering of EP’s and an album already to the name and praise ringing in their ears from champions such as Derrick May and DJ Hell, the anticipation for new content from the pairing has been building with each release.  That’s why we’re delighted to share news with you that Deep'a & Biri will be serving up the sophomore release for Blackhall & Bookless’ Jaunt Recordings and we’ve secured one of the EP’s new cuts for exclusive premiere. Psychedelic and otherworldly in equal measure the duo’s Basement Cuts EP is sure to keeps dance floors both interested and entertained when it lands this December whilst serving as a bold statement of intent from both Jaunt and Deep’a & Biri for 2015. Deepening its connection with its Swedish roots, Truesoul is excited to welcome La Fleur to the collective. 

The Berlin-based, Stockholm-born DJ/producer has emerged as one of the most exciting in house and techno circles in recent years. A resident of Watergate, label boss of the quality Power Plant imprint and new addition to Labyrinth parties in Ibiza, this EP follows La Fleur’s amazing 90-minute set at the Pacha party this season alongside Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg. 

Her strong two-track contribution to the Truesoul catalogue begins with ‘Fish Truck’, a brilliant multi-layered concoction of shuffling beats, heavy bass and a woozy synth line with a subtle nod to Chicago. A rare track that is simultaneously thought-provoking due to its complexity, yet powerful and harmonious in its execution to be a peak-time weapon. ‘Exhaust’ changes up the energy and mood deliciously, as layers of lush pads fill the soundscape and combine with a vocal from an Eckhart Tolle video where a woman asks him why we are so affected by music. With a backbone of funk-laden techno beats, it’s at once beautiful yet melancholic.

After her album ‘SoMe’ was released to critical acclaim last November, Anja Schneider has kept on creating. The first EP release on new imprint Sous Music is a pounding transcendental techno work, made for 4am raving. 

2017 was a watershed year for Anja Schneider; the end of a long successful chapter at mobilee and the beginning of an exciting new era with the launch of Sous. The pivotal change has brought renewed freedom and vigor to the Berlin artist’s creative output. So much so that a new EP ‘Prosperity’, has followed straight after, as Schneider continues her inspired streak of form. 

Those expecting a thematic follow on from ‘SoMe’, may be surprised, however. The title track is her grittiest production in years, a trippy techno weapon propelled by a hypnotic vocal and stripped back drum work that’s been highlighting the artist’s sets in recent times. It’s accompaniment ‘Signs’, is deeper and groovier, as Schneider channels Chicago house in her own trademark style – equal parts cheeky and moody.

Since 2013, his work has appeared on renowned imprints like ODD/EVEN, KMS, Intacto, Parabel, Flash, and Dynamic Reflection.

Eddie’s relentless passion for electronic music has taken him from Australian festivals such as Sydney Mardi Gras, Rainbow Serpent, and Strawberry Fields to iconic international stages like Berlin’s Tresor and Amsterdam Dance Event.

In 2021, his Dormancy EP on ODD/EVEN became a modern classic, earning strong support from key tastemaker DJs. That same year, he launched Denude Records, a platform supporting both his vision and the global rise of Australian electronic music.

His 2022 debut album, Far Beyond, showcased a blend of Detroit techno, dub, ambient, and breakbeat influences. In 2023, he returned to ODD/EVEN with the Bad Sector EP, featuring a remix by techno legend Ken Ishii.

In 2024, Eddie presented Vanishing Point, his second album on Denude. Inspired by a silent meditation retreat, it features nine tracks that explore a broader sonic landscape while staying rooted in the floor-ready techno he’s known for. From the raw, timeless energy of Affinity to the expansive electronica of Black Rock and Observer, Eddie demonstrates his evolution as a forward-thinking artist, seamlessly blending classic influences with futuristic sounds.

Eddie Hale continues to push boundaries, crafting a unique soundscape that challenges the norm while offering a fresh perspective on techno’s future.
