For their twelfth installment, Scatcity welcomes the duo Colossio & Sobek. Label head Skatman also makes an appearance on remix duty.

A versatile EP that combines the influences of both artists, low-tempo, tribal grooves, bizarre vocals, and deep melodies are the core of this EP named "Fragmentado". 

The title track kicks things off with a steady beat, glitchy vocals, and a mysterious melody that carries the listener to a drop with a stabby arp and a syncopated groove.

The Skatman reconstruction transforms the original track to a peak-time sharp synth-driven track.

"Vision Peligrosa" starts the B-side lowering the tempo with a groovy and tribal beat topped with bizarre vocals that hypnotize the dancers till the early hours.

“Murmuros"  closes the EP with deep rumbling drums that roll along as foundations to warming synths and echoing toplines.

Juan Soto has been keeping his new alter ego, Juan To Tree, kind of busy in the last months with a solid string of releases on vital Indie Dance platforms such as Fauna Reve, Hard Fist, Duro, and Espacio Cielo. Colossio (SXDNS025), in turn, has never had a break in his consistent career and has been delivering an impressive amount of high-quality material, having appeared on a plethora of essential labels as, for instance, Logical, Phisica, Duro, Side Up Works, Play Pal Music, Tom Tom Disco, beat is murder, Karakter, Playground, Nothing Is Real, Quixotical, Relish, NEIN, and Belly Dance Services.

Now, the Mexican virtuosos joined forces to deliver an imperative single on the Spanish powerhouse Espacio Cielo and brought some friends who provided stunning interpretations of the powerful original: Theus Mago (SXDNS056) & Moisees, Zombies In Miami, and the label boss himself, Parissior (SXDNS206) brought “El Lider” to their own turf and infused it with some of their influences and soundscapes.

Zombies In Miami, for instance, opted for a trippier and more atmospheric version. Their “Guru Mantra” remix is a showcase of the versatility and creativity of the Mexican duo. If not a track devoted to making you dance on a packed and sweaty dance floor, it is definitely a piece that takes you places – one of the most important roles music bears. Mission successfully accomplished, lads!

Renowned international craftsman Maher Daniel returns to No. 19 Music with a fantastic new EP that also comes with standout remixes from Art Department, plus label regular JADE (CA). Daniel has been building his own vinyl only label, The Other Side with a series of slick releases that come after other outings on the likes of Circus, 8Bit and of course No.19 Music. He has taken his label to showcases everywhere from the Caribbean to Beirut and always cooks up infectious club sounds in the studio. Alongside this he has a vinyl only edits series called Creature that has consistently sold out upon release. Aside from his production and DJ work he is a central figure in the industry and has a long standing history with the No.19 crew. Here he opens with the excellent ‘A Heart That Beats You’ which is utterly captivating across ten minutes of sleek minimal house. It’s a deep track with rubbery drums and spooky synth designs that hook you in and never let you go. Steamy vocals layer in another element that makes it all the more standout. ‘Hidden Messages’ is another expertly intricate track with slippery synths and drums, minute little effects and drum fills and a restless groove of which Villalobos would be proud. The first of the remixes comes from label boss Art Department, who is enjoying a superb run of releases of late, including standout records for Cassy’s Kwench and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz label. His version of ‘A Heart That Beats You' is a superb late night house cut with warm, colourful chords and a soulful vocal that build the tension until the whole thing drops and sets the club alight. Canadian DJ/producer JADE (CA), a long-time friend of the label, then steps up. Deep, dark bass lines accompanied by solid hi hat patterns sink you into a state of hypnosis and make for another one of this fine talent’s trademark tracks.
