Portland-based producer Phoniks is known for his vintage 90s boom bap production style and melodic jazz and soul samples. The 29-year-old beatmaker has racked up over 100 million listens thanks to his original work with emcees Awon, Dephlow, Tiff The Gift and Anti-Lilly and popular remixes of Wu-Tang and Biggie Smalls. He participated in the documentary "Underdogs: A Unique Hip Hop Story" aired on Netflix. With "Flora," he unveils a sweet old-school track, using jazzy samples on dynamic beats.
