Catalogue number TAR085 marks our most anticipated sampler to date, showcasing a unique Tech Avenue sound that we've grown to know and love. The compilation features a collaboration of various artists from all over the world, coming together at a common Junction.
 
Historically, the Junction series has been the perfect way for us to round up fresh faces that display a remarkable production prowess and diverse taste in their specialty, and include a wide pallet of genres. This compilation, however, is a deviation from the traditional Tech Avenue signature, with elements that cater Tech House music lovers. VA releases are a time for us to reflect on all we've accomplished during the last few years, a time that has seen drastic change in the way music is delivered. New artists have been added to the label, and some recognizable ones continue to act as the needle that threads our labels fabric.
 
Crafted with love and care, Tech Avenue Records is excited to put forth this playlist of songs, and eighth compilation that represents the original sound of the label since it's inception. Going into 2025, we will re-calibrate the direction of sound we procure, in hopes of continuing to deliver a fresh and relevant musical perspective. Our next destination is Canada with 'Fahrenheit' EP from Vaxx and Dames House.

To mark its tenth digital release, the Bizarre Trax-affiliated TAN label unveils TAN Trax All Stars - a ten-track celebration that feels more like a love letter to the crew’s extended musical family than a mere compilation. What started as a playful outlet parallel to the more curated, wax-driven Bizarre Trax has evolved into a fully formed identity of its own: cheeky, groove-soaked, and ever dancefloor-minded.

Opening this milestone release is “Imperfection” by Jhobei - not just TAN royalty, but one of the driving forces behind Bizarre Trax itself. With past outings on FUSE, Up The Stuss, Locked In, Mood Waves, BinarySound, and more, Jhobei’s sound has become a trademark: a hybrid of housey warmth, technical precision, and just enough cheek to make you smile mid-mix.

“Imperfection” doesn’t knock at the door - it slips through the cracks like golden hour light, casting long shadows of funk and warmth across the floor. A nimble House bassline sets the pulse, elastic but grounded, wrapped in fluttering pads and tight, swung percussion. The titular vocal - clipped, unfussy - drops in almost as an afterthought, but anchors the track like a mantra. Jhobei adds just enough synth variation to keep the groove shapeshifting, always teasing, never overplaying its hand.

Like much of Jhobei’s work, “Imperfection” doesn’t beg to be heard - it just feels like it’s always been there, waiting to soundtrack a hazy morning after or a peak-time wiggle. As far as mission statements go, it’s a perfect opener for an imprint built on community, playfulness, and groove without ego.

Ten releases deep, TAN’s personality is sharper than ever - and “Imperfection” is a reminder that sometimes the smoothest things come with just the right amount of grit.

Eddy’s musical journey began in the town of Palermo in Sicily, Italy, where his love of rhythm and beats saw him play drums in bands since the tender age of twelve. He later graduated to Palermo’s European School of Jazz where he took his talent to the next level by studying piano, guitar and percussion. 

Eddy began producing in 2010, taking inspiration from his classical training and influence from his love for the old school, particularly 90’s hip hop in the form of Cypress Hill, Tribe Called Quest and Ice Cube, to create his own unique form of tech house and techno.
