I wrote this song when I realized that my adult life was about to begin - I had transferred to Aquinas College, I was moving out of my parents' house... and I was feeling very full of hope and optimism.

Here we go... I fell in love with a girl called Julie and I wrote her this song. Sadly, the relationship ended soon after... don't know if it was the song or my general deficiencies... hahaha. :P

I wrote this song about breaking up with someone, and not wanting to do it. Relationships are hard, sometimes it takes a lot of courage to know when you have to leave.

This is the first song I've written in Spanish, pretty much. I wrote this after Facebook stalking an ex and noticing that the guy she's with is definitely more good looking than I am. So, out of pure feelings of inadequacy and regret, I wrote this song. Hopefully this will kill any further urges to resume any Facebook stalking!

this is a song i wrote recently that unearthed some very weird feelings. you know how falling in love goes, you hold your heart by a leash and you tell it to slow the fuck down, but of course, it never listens.

i just literally wrote this song today and i felt compelled to immediately record it. the lyrics are still a bit rough, and so are the vocals and the guitar playing... but i had to get this down quick before i lost the muse.

We started promoting Rapid City Records actively a few weeks ago and now we find ourselves having more than 300 likes on our Facebook page. We told you guys that if you would help us get to that point, we'd give you a free download... this is it.

This song is by one of our artists, Edgard Portela, and it is a demo of one of the songs of his upcoming EP "To sleep dress and dream more". This song was recorded back in 2009, at Aquinas College's Kretchmer Hall. Edgard recorded this original song as a demo with the collaboration of several friends as the final exam for a recording class at Aquinas. (Thank you Kate [backing vocals, percussion], Erin [backing vocals], Tim [piano], Mark [recording professor] and everyone else who was part of the recording of this song!)
