Beyond music, Bae Bae extends her passion for culture into her monthly parties series The Hood Rave, a space to celebrate Black music and community.

BAE BAE talks about her Jamaican roots, her rich Negress World community dedicated to uplifting black femmes, women, and gender-nonconforming artists as well as how she uses music to explore her mental health and identity.

R. F. Coleman co-writes with Joshua Moriarty (of Miami Horror, Telenova) and was co-produced by Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, The Presets, DMA's). "I Couldn't Trust" is his debut as a solo musician, but not as an 'artist'. As a writer for the New York Times and Guardian, R. F. Coleman has been shot, stabbed, poisoned with cyanide and put a hit out on himself. He's photographed for Canon and directed award-winning short films on five continents. 

Untrained, R. F. Coleman's songs are, to put it kindly, 'naturally raw' (read: naive). They talk in the abstract, as he operates in the abstract. The subject matter a ballerina, fish tank, self-discovery, addiction, sobriety, eloping, being a father, being accountable. The process is always fun, but often frustrating (particularly for co-writer/producer, Josh). The words come quickly; the ideas erratic, desperate and not necessarily 'correct'. That's ok. R. F. Coleman hopes you enjoy the music and experience it your own way (just not while riding a bike; please concentrate).

Born and raised in Baltimore, JiaLing was a classically trained cellist for 15 years before moving to New York in 2015. They currently have a monthly residencies on Balamii / Hyde FM in addition to their residents with collectives Ayi Ayi (Brooklyn) and WOE (Baltimore).

"I recorded this in a take the night before heading out to Taiwan but was thinking about it for a while, included some of my staple tracks and dubs friends sent through. the focus for this mix was groove, as usual it spans a variety of genres/bpms with an orientation of house, breaks and electro."

As a taster of things to come, their visceral anti-capitalist debut single ‘DBT’ is out now along with an unnerving, wild-eyed video that reflects their twitching, erratic take on post-garage punk.

Commenting on the track, guitarist Dominic Knight (ex-The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster) says: “Our entire system is based around debt. From using sea shells as markers of goods that are owed, to the paper money we hold in our hands being merely trust in an idea of wealth rather than having actual value. These ideas always affect the poorest in society and we see it so often with money lending, overdrafts and borrowing.”
