MPX delivers a brace of high octane tracks on the ‘Victim Gallery’ single for Kneaded Pains.  Otherwise known as Man Power, MPX is the British DJ/producer’s outlet for pulsating and simmering techno productions, and this sound is served up in abundance on this release for Dense & Pika’s label.

‘Victim Gallery’ comes armed with acidic chops not heard since the mid 1990’s techno boom, as a hammering rhythm and relentless stabs zip past at breakneck motion, for a perfect brain melting banger.  Accompanying cut, ‘Scum Ritual’, features drums that slap you around the face as its minimal two note refrain anchors the groove, before breaking out into a proper intense drum machine jam!

His secret recipe includes a mixture of deep hard-hitting techno with loopy and groovy beats, spiced up with some trance-like melodies. MISLAV’s unique blend of styles encompasses the feelings of energy, sexiness, power, introspection and euphoria. This is what he has to say about this mix:

"Hello everyone!
Thanks for tuning in. I really hope you enjoy this mix as much as I do. I know for me, especially throughout the pandemic, music has been my escapism, almost a therapy to help me navigate me through some shitty times and help focus on the positive. Even if just one of these tracks gets you moving, I'm happy.

With every mix I create I am trying to encompass the feelings of energy, sexiness, power, introspection and euphoria. You will notice I kick this mix off on an upbeat note with some loopy and groovy beats to really transport you into a sexy and sweaty club, dancing all your worries away. We then start to slowly get more into the powerful hard hitting fast techno that you cannot help but move to, sprinkled with some trance-like spacey tunes which warm the heart.

They are an online mental health service targeted towards young people and their parents. Many young people who feel they are having their youth taken away or having to deal with complex transitions into adult life. As someone who has experienced mental health issues from body image to anxious thoughts, I'd love to see more young people know about this valuable tool"

DJ/Producer Lucid Distraction is launching his new Los Angeles-based, independent record label, Native Boundaries, this Friday, September 17th.

The Native Boundaries Collective has been a party and mix series over the last couple years throwing events around Southern California. After having some releases of my own, Lucid Distraction, have reached out to 8 other artists from around the US for his first VA Compilation, Native Boundaries VA 001.

Native Boundaries has worked with some talented artists in the past as part of their parties and mix series such as Cooper Saver, Etari, Drew Dapps, and more.

Starting in 2018 as an Instagram page dedicated to sharing deep house tunes from around the world, the brand and sound has evolved quite a bit. VA 001 is a culmination of the progression throughout the years including elements of minimal, deep, lofi, dub, and acid house.
