Threads, is a tender, introspective song about three generations of women bound by love, chaos, and resilience. It traces the quiet inheritance of unhealed trauma, from a grandmother hardened by survival, to a mother doing her best without the language of regulation, to a daughter who grew up with undiagnosed ADHD and later became a mental health nurse. Told through a lens of compassion rather than blame, it explores the ache of recognising those patterns as an adult and the bittersweet guilt of understanding too late what love was trying to be. Ultimately, it’s a story of empathy, how insight, forgiveness, and tenderness can turn generational pain into light.
