Russian Whispers (Abattry, 90's)

Stuff I did while playing for Abattry (Me, Roddy McKim, Sean Mellon, Neil MacDonald). I played lead guitar, keys & some backing vocals.

Note that this was written in 1992(ish), before terms like Rendition had become mainstream.

Free Fall (Abattry, 90's)

So applying stems from Zefora's "Got This Love" in G @ 130bpm onto something in Am @90bpm. Sort of works. Minor remix to improve clarity & get the drums sounding a little more natural. Very much for Zefora, I think this is a departure from her normal remixes from what I've heard.

Got This Lazy Love (Zefora)

Work in progress, just dropping this up here in case anyone has ideas or inspiration from it. 16 bars of what I'm thinking is either chorus or bridge. It's the melody that was running through my head around the time of the birth of my wee girl.

Niamh WIP

I had this uploaded before, it was just a wee demo to get natural sounding drums going with toontracks. I've since added a tiny solo just to finish it off, & played with the EQ a bit.

Metal Cheese

Another concept in infancy, this one I have some themes & a few lines for but not got the skills to write the full lyrics, this is just verse & bridge sections, still to find the hook/chorus.
This is also the first time I've micd my current rig rather than DI, PRS CE22, Ashdown Fallen Angel and TC G-Major. Bit indistinct, sorry about that. I think I need more mics (and more practice recording stuff that way....)

Originally written in 1987 by Rod McKim and Neil MacDonald of Abattry, this recording was made around 1992/93 I think. I played one of the guitar parts, & if memory serves correctly Pooko did some of the backing vocals. 

Go Through And Come Back (Abattry, 90's)

I've been playing guitar since about 1984, was in and out of local bands in the late 80's/early 90's around Cumbernauld, Scotland but since then have fairly dropped back. I still do leads, but I'm more focussed on the spaces between the notes & staying in tune than being fast & tight! Tone is everything. Now based in Solihull, soon looking to hook up with local performers, but not for anything serious.
