This week's Crack Mix comes via Italian DJs Dirty Channels. The dynamic duo, made up of longtime collaborators Simone and Leme, here take us on an introspective voyage through the aural terrains that have influenced their prolific sets over the years. On this sonic flight, disco nostalgia is intertwined with old-school house and Detriot techno grooves, culminating in an atmospheric ascent into the funk-laden skies of the Pastaboys mentees.
After cultivating renowned solo careers as DJs and producers, Dirty Channels began their symbiotic journey together in 2007, landing tracks on infamous labels as Glitterbox / Defected and Classic Music Company. You can catch a Dirty Channels set at prestigious event spaces such as Hï Ibiza and Polifonic festival, or at their residency Take it Easy in Milan, party and record label run alongside longtime friends Bugsy and DJLMP.

The pair behind “Watchin’ Out” have curated this ebullient mix for the disco deep-cut dwellers and the tech-house loop diggers alike, featuring two of their new tunes into the tracklist. Get tuned in.

Terry Francis first played the club on our launch night in 1999, and he’s been back to play hundreds of times since then.

As one of our two residents, for the last 17 years alongside Craig Richards he’s been at the very core of our Saturday night programming. Alongside our longstanding in-house team, it’s Terry and Craig who’ve helped shape our musical philosophy since the beginning. 

This is part of what made the Saturday night of last month’s reopening weekend so special. Following on from Stephane Ghenacia’s on point warm-up set with Room One already popping, Terry Francis stepped up to deliver what we can confidently say was one of the most compelling sets we’ve witnessed, ever. As we’re still looking back on this session fondly several weeks on, today we feel proud to unlock it from the archives for everyone to hear.
