A song I hadn't heard for a while. Listening to the radio I was reminded of some of the tunes I listened to many years ago. Previously recorded by Deniece Williams. I decided I had to put my slant on this song as it is one of 'My Favourite Tunes.'

The Edison Herbert Trio is a collective of Jazz musicians from London who bring excitement, verve and vitality to everything they play. They were brought together by virtuoso guitarist Edison  Herbert to perform at a series of concerts in London, but the musical chemistry they emitted led to the development and creation of his new, ‘My Favourite Tunes’ project.  Featuring on Drums, Winston Clifford, on Double Bass Neville Malcolm and led by guitarist Edison Herbert this album was recorded in London and will be released in June 2014. Edison is keen to revisit some of his favourite songs past and present in an intimate setting. The Edison Herbert Trio are building a reputation for their engaging grooves, sensitive ballads and foot tapping numbers that mixes the familiar with the new in a refreshing way.  The Edison Herbert Trio will blow you away.

A fine expressive guitarist based in the UK. Studying classical piano and teaching himself the guitar led Edison to The Guildhall Big Band, performing live with Randy Brecker at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. Edison moved on to write the arrangements for the West End musical ‘Unforgettable,’ also playing Motown Music in the ‘The Grapevine’ and composing music for the BBC Radio 4, he has appeared on TV and worked with Rose Rose, Kim Burell, HKB Finn and Snakeskips Johnson. Edison is an international musician who has toured England, Ireland, Spain, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and the USA. He is currently spending his time promoting his new album the ‘My favourite tunes‘ project, performing, teaching and writing new work.
