Kamen is a French DJ and producer, co-founder of OSS Records and GRS Techno. His sound blends hypnotic techno, industrial grit, hardgroove energy and ambient depth, with a strong focus on textured sound design and precision rhythms.
Active for nearly 15 years, he draws inspiration from labels like Hayes, Ilian Tape and Mutual Rytm, and also operates under the alias JS.TRICKS and as one half of the duo Crime Partners.
With releases on respected imprints such as Skryptöm, PRX Records, PRTL WRX, DifferentSounds and Inphase, Kamen continues to shape his distinctive universe.
His recent standout performance at FOLD for the 100th UNFOLD confirmed his rising profile.
A versatile and dedicated artist, Kamen is part of a new generation pushing techno forward with depth and character.

This sixteenth release in the core Knowledge Imprint catalogue marks an important milestone (a good 7+ years after its inception) as it welcomes the first solo EP by a South African producer other than the label owner himself. Justyn Nell - @justynnell - has already been making waves in his own right with releases on prominent labels and performances at well-respected venues across the globe. So, it is with great delight that he joins the label roster for a strong 4-tracker like only he can do.

The A-side is occupied by ‘Erebus’ and ‘Obsidian’, both of which have the distinct character of Justyn’s more tool-oriented techno production style. With sharp synths, hypnotic loops, precision percussions and classic call-response tension, these are tracks that are made for peak dance floor moments - no frills, no fuss. On the other hand, the B-side’s ‘Perceived Depth’ and ‘Solstice’ show a different side to Justyn’s usual stylistic tropes. Make no mistake, you’ll still get a full dose of techno, but this time with more hypnotic and emotive qualities that reveal a welcomed development in the artist’s sonic palette.

Hay tracks que no necesitan presentarse: llegan y te atraviesan. “Electricity”, el nuevo disparo de Pumuki dentro de su inminente EP Change Is Evolution, es exactamente eso: una descarga que convierte la pista en un circuito abierto. Aquí el productor madrileño logra su equilibrio más feroz entre la energía electroclash y la melodía cargada de trance, una combinación que ya es sello propio, pero que en este corte alcanza un filo especialmente incendiario.

“Electricity” no busca ser amable: se enciende de golpe, como un cortocircuito emocional. El ritmo avanza con precisión mecánica, mientras que los sintetizadores —afilados, casi convulsos— dibujan un paisaje que huele a neón, sudor y ciencia ficción decadente. Es un track pensado para ese punto de la noche donde las dudas se disuelven y el cuerpo toma decisiones que la mente ya no controla.

Dentro de Change Is Evolution, un EP que Pumuki lanza de forma totalmente independiente bajo su propio sello Flying Saucer, este tema funciona como manifiesto: la evolución no es suave, es una tensión constante entre lo que arde y lo que quiere liberarse. Y en “Electricity”, esa tensión se vuelve luz.

Con este lanzamiento, que aterriza el 15 de diciembre en todas las plataformas, Pumuki vuelve a empujar su universo sonoro hacia territorios más agresivos, más emocionales y, sobre todo, más suyos.
