It’s time to welcome spring with the first episode of our new series. For this occasion we’ve invited Worg, an Italian artist based in Rome. Worg is a producer, sound designer, and live performer. This time he delivers the first live contribution to SALON.

Daring rhythm in combination with hypnotizing elements give life to a deep sound enveloped in a dark gloomy haze. Both complex and distinct sonorities are being explored to accompany the listener in a voyage through oneiric and spectral soundscapes. To achieve this Worg draws inspiration from dystopian places and fantasies located in imaginative habitats.

In 2018, he started his own label Lykos Records where he shares some of his creative output with great company. Other labels where he released his music are Northallsen Records, Illegal Alien Records and Circular Limited to name a few.

Another edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is just around the corner, and this year marks its 30th anniversary. As always, Chrom Recordings is ready to celebrate in style with their annual ADE Sampler and a 2-day label showcase happening on Friday and Saturday. Our ADE Chrom Sampler features 10 carefully curated tracks, reflecting the diverse sounds of Progressive House, Indie Dance, and Melodic House & Techno. The Compilation opens with 2 recent Chrom anthems: Horizon, taken from the #100-album by our own label manager Pedro Mercado alongside Karada, followed by our latest single Missing, the iconic 90s classic from Everything But The Girl covered by Yves Eaux feat. Gregory Douglass. The remaining 8 tracks are brand-new and exclusive to this release. Half of them are contributions from trusted Chrom regulars: Fernando Lagreca, DJ Andy de Gage, Paul Sawyer and Daniel Vilchez. The other half is coming from artists who are new to our label: JP Lantieri from France, VUH from Mexico, GELIMA from Thailand and Juwlz from Belgium. We hope you enjoy this years selection! Lütt Matten, little Matti, grown up in a small town near the Baltic coast, his glance always into the range of the endless horizons of the North German farmland. Free from rush and time, exposed to the elements and the sound of the universe, in thoughts traveling with the migration of the grey cranes, dancing to the choreography of the great crested grebe dance, raging like a finch in the hedge, free as the buzzard's flight in a summer thermals.

Imagine the power she gave to thousands of Sumerians, Mesopotamians and the infamous and brutal Assyrians, even when they tryed to conquere the western regions of far east, trying to break the walls of Jericho, even Jerusalem. 

Kokopelli 

Kokopelli is a fertility god worshiped by the natives of the American Southwest (today's USA). He's watching over the birth and reproduction as well as the agriculture. Kokopelli's flute playing drives out the winter and initiates spring. Many tribes also associate the rain with Kokopellis flute play.
