Hidden is a well-established, forward thinking techno imprint based in NYC, curated by Deepak Sharma.

The label is dedicated to releasing vinyl that showcases the full spectrum of the techno continuum, from its earlier works with a distinct Detroit groove to its latest releases which are ready made for play in the darkest and grittiest of warehouses.

In recent years, JC Laurent and Deepak Sharma have taken center stage on the label, combining for 10 releases and accompanied by techno luminaries such as Tadeo, NX1, Developer, Oliver Deutschmann, Tom Dicicco, and Myles Serge. A trip through the label’s catalog showcases a deep connection with the soul of techno with appearances by Perc, Truncate, Mark Broom, Xhin, Kyle Geiger, Jerome Sydenham, Fred P, DJ Qu, John Tejada, Ambivalent, and Jonas Kopp among others. There are few places where this intersection of sounds and styles can coexist harmoniously. Hidden is one of these places.

The series of V.A. continues with ‘Bravo’ which contains tracks by Aleja Sanchez, Luciano Esse, MTD and Danilenko. In “Sisonte” persistent drum kicks intersect with dark spaced out pads and white noises. “2222” is a solid track, with a bleepy bassline and sequenced claps. Third track, called “Parallelism” is charactherized by a bassline sequence that is fused with high frequencies bleeps and spaced out drums. “Heart Strike” is an introspective track. A simple melody, executed with a noisy bassline, never tires while the track expands.

For the label launch, the London-based collective put together a 13 track 'Various Artists' compilation of some of their favourite producers. Named "Magnetic Fields", the V/A is focusing on electric atmospheres and textures, locking the listener deep in the groove and the hypnosis. From drone and euphoric atmospheres to detailed broken-techno, the compilation displays a textured view on contemporary techno, elegant and mental, yet ready for the clubs to re-open.
