Hey, dear souls 💜👽

I'm very proud and happy to introduce to you my very first special guest, one of my most favourite producers from all, amazing DJ and talented live act artist, hypnotic techno label owner & manager of the West Rules / @westrulesrecords /, Joaquin Ruiz / @jrtechno / from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Joaquin's typical style combines hypnotic space energy with atmospheric sound. He has been supported by many international artists like Ben Sims, Richie Hawtin, Dax J or Slam and he shared the booth with names like Etapp Kyle, Truncate [Trankejt], Jonass Kopp  Obscure Shape, Pfirter [Firter] and much more.

Besides realeasing his sound on labels like Children of Tomorrow, SYMBOLISM, Subsist Records or his own label, his music was also released and very much supported on Axis Records runned by Jeff Mills. With his beautiful space techno music he also appeared in Jeff's project of Escape Velocity and his music playlists.

JOAQUIN'S ANSWERS ABOUT THE FUTURE

What do you think about the future in techno music? Do you have any ideas, opinions?

“ Regarding the future of techno, I think it is a movement that has been growing a lot. This, on the one hand, brings this music to different countries/cultures and it is the most beautiful part of music. But on the other hand, there is also the part where perhaps they focus more on making an image of a product for profit, without taking into account the quality and work behind it. For example, they hire djs by number of followers, regardless of their career nor the contribution to this culture.

I think that we should not lose the real values of music and I know that there are many artists, promoters and people committed to this genre by passion and love, which motivates me to continue. ”


What are your imaginations and opinions about the future on Earth in general?

“ I think that little by little, us, the human beings, we are becoming more aware of many things regarding the damage we cause to our planet. We should continue to work hard on to protect beings and respect the nature.

Stop exploiting the land without thinking about the damage that is caused to the environment. “

The Colombian Techno talent Esteban Miranda provides some straight hypnotic frequencies in his first solo Hivemind installment. "Introspective Reaction" features solid and dynamic works that promise to make you lose your mind on the dance floor with their massive sound and diving oscillations.
