Artur Szatkowski - the person behind the moniker - is an up and coming  techno producer, but not a newbie to the scene overall. Going by Essence for over 20 years, he was a DJ and a promoter, responsible for hundreds of parties all over Poland. When he took some time off from party life back in 2018, he started learning production skills and currently he is focused on his own music, heavily inspired by his lifelong musical influences. 

Having released his first EP in late 2021 on International Day Off, Artur is now making his way back - releasing and performing as We Call It Voight-Kampff.

We Call It Voight-Kampff’s music was picked up by quite a few techno artists in their DJ sets - including Ben Sims (who also released a collaboration track between We Call It Voight-Kampff and Szmer on the latter’s EP on Symbolism), Dave Clarke, Rodhad, Kr!z, Doc Scott and Freddy K.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Liam ‘DUTS’ Dutton; a DJ and promoter from North West, England.

Having had a keen interest in electronic music from an early age from Drum & Bass, to House and 90's/00's Trance, discovered Techno in 2017 from attending local parties and festivals. Being massively inspired by the rawness, hypnosis-inducing and powerful nature of the genre, he felt a sense of expressing his passion for the music. Here he endeavoured on the journey of DJing.

He has since been invited to play at events in Manchester and more recently further afield in Poland by Vague Collective - a Manchester Techno collective, and is co-founder of a new, soon-to-be announced, Manchester-based party which has its debut 12-hour day party this August.

In this showcase mix expect a slight shift in styles over time, as he takes the listener on a journey of hypnotic rhythms, accompanied by a consistent deep and driving presence that is as satisfying for listening, as it is for dancing.
