This is the sixth techno trip of Ephemeral Distance – a trip into space-time for the mind and the soul, with deep and powerful dark sounds.

A thesis is defined as an arithmetic order, a condition, an opinion or theory, a long essay, or the accented part of a musical measure. But, above all, it is a particular place, a starting point, or a body posture. The question is, how long is the distance between two theses?

The Tale

Deeply lost, sunk into long forgotten he found a relic that he had been longing for for decades.
Happy to have finally found it, he imagined who it might belong to and who could leave such a wonderful creation behind.
He looked around and discovered the 5 burden bearers of valor, justice, hope, fate and wisdom. Saw their shame and pain.
Saw the extent of destruction around him.
Saw the blasphemous ignorance of humanity, forgetting what all those who were long forgotten in ruins and the values of that time rotted with them.
Fearfully he fell to the ground, understood every single one of them, lay the artifact behind and left the place.
Except for one drawing he forgot everything that happened back then. He now hangs over the fire, sometimes sitting there and remembering what the Angiris Council did for us.

Phyr Records is the new label from Italy's Pyramidal Decode that has featured top artists like Takaaki Itoh, Dimi Angélis, PWCCA, and Oliver Rosemann, since launching in 2024. Now presenting a joint LP release with Oscar Mulero titled 'Il Poema,' this follows four albums already in just three years.

Pyramidal Decode lists prestigious appearances on labels including Jeff Mills' Axis, Oscar Mulero's Warm Up, Bas Mooy's Mord, and Svreca's Semantica, among many other significant techno imprints as he continues to explore his trippy, cerbral sound.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Virgilio" with it's brooding tension from the throbbing percussion programming. Driving, chopping frequencies and modular accents develop the aesthetic to a wild journey of intensity and contemporary purism.
