NYC-based imprint 99FVR returns with its third release - 'Cielo EP'. Crafted by Mexican duo KickZologo & WRDO, this spicy collaboration showcases the pair’s decade-long friendship and shared journey through Mexico’s vibrant electronic music scene.

Cielo, which translates to ‘Heaven’ is a hypnotic trip driven by punchy basslines, swirling layers, and dynamic hi-hats. Dedicated to getting dancefloors moving, 'Activated' brings a sassy, yet spacey, stomper to the pack. 'iNsOmNiA' takes a brighter approach, with atmospheric pads and groovy percussion, creating a euphoric energy with soft vocals whispering in one’s ear.

On the remix duties, Philadelphia duo Zillas on Acid take on Cielo, injecting snappy percussion, dubby vocals, and an unexpected time-straddling vibe. The addition of dusty synth textures and otherworldly energy gives the track a fresh, reimagined edge. Closing out the EP is Capes’ mesmerizing retake on Activated. Los Angeles-based Ray Barragan, one half of Club Tularosa, transforms Activated into a twisted and cinematic weapon for the darkest of dancefloors.

Chicago’s James Curd joins Radio Slave’s REK’D with the 'Warm Welcome’ two-tracker. The title track, ‘Warm Welcome’, is an elegant House cut with loved-up vocal loops, life-aﬃrming melodies and jazzy keys. All of which bring classy, sophisticated good times over a raw, driving beat. The vibes keep flowing on 'Keep It Up', which features Dusty Lee’s funky guitar licks and soulful harmonies over snappy grooves, its rich instrumentation and clever sampling echoing early Disco-House sounds and oozing timeless quality.

"I've been a longtime admirer of Radio Slave, whose remix of my 2004 release Keep It Down on Classic Music Company still stands the test of time. Rekids has always been a label I turn to for inspiration, so it feels full circle to now release Warm Welcome with them. When I stepped into the studio, I had Rekids in mind, pushing myself to craft something with a bit more grit and edge. The tracks came together almost instinctively as if they were writing themselves while I moved through the studio on autopilot. Keep It Up was taken to the next level with Dusty Lee’s live guitar work—he laid down a few raw takes, and I sifted through to piece together the perfect moments that brought the track to life."- James Curd

In other media, Curd’s music has found a home in video game Grand Theft Auto, film and TV The Incredibles & Grey’s Anatomy, and soon the film ‘Come With Me’ starring Ron Perlman & Theo Rossi, which James Curd scored and
music supervised.

Premiere: Ben Evers - Need Me (Massimiliano Pagliara Remix) [Eternal Sunshine]

Following the hypnotic pulse of his acclaimed album El Hijo del Maiz, released through Lumière Noire Records, which introduced the original version of "Bo Ni Ke," Mexican DJ/producer Iñigo Vontier returns with Bo Ni Ke Remixes, an EP that reimagines one of his most captivating tracks. Released through the boundary-pushing Mexican imprint Duro Label, this collection breathes new life into "Bo Ni Ke" with four dynamic reinterpretations from Musumeci, Moisees and two new version from Vontier.  

Leading the charge is a mesmerizing remix by Italian Musumeci, who infuse the track with their signature blend of deep, cosmic grooves and ethereal textures, taking "Bo Ni Ke" on an acid journey. Moisees, co-founder of Duro Label, delivers a remix that amplifies the track's hypnotic essence, layering infectious rhythms with a raw, underground energy that resonates on dancefloors. Rounding out the EP, Iñigo Vontier himself presents his "Unwanted" Remix, showcasing his evolving sound with a darker, more psychedelic twist that delves deeper into his experimental roots. 

Closing the EP is the Ketamine Version, a stripped-down, hallucinatory rendition that deconstructs the original into its most primal sonic elements. This version explores the track's core rhythmic structure, distorting and reshaping it into a swirling, immersive soundscape, designed for late-night introspection and altered states of consciousness. 

Bo Ni Ke Remixes stands as a testament to Iñigo Vontier's fearless approach to electronic music, blending cultural influences with forward-thinking production. Each remix offers a unique perspective while honoring the original's mystique, solidifying "Bo Ni Ke" as a track that transcends boundaries and continues to evolve. Iñigo Vontier’s “Bo Ni Ke Remixes” will be available starting April 11, 2025.

@editamusic 's ninth release is the work of the brilliant and versatile German producer @saschafunkeofficial , known for having created different styles over the years with an absolutely unique and well-defined touch. The track he chose is Pump up The Volume, a single by the British group M.A.R.R.S. from 1987, considered by many to be a true monument of the Dance scene. The way Sascha reinterpreted it is wonderful, making it a bomb that changes skin for its entire duration.

Alejandro Veneno joins Discos Tabú with a powerful EP featuring two dance floor ready tracks. 

The EP begins with Soleo a track rooted in the Chicago sound, a tribute to House Music, full of groove and irresistible dance vibes. Corazón, on the other hand, is a dialogue between a person and his heart, one he feels he's losing. The release also includes an amazing deep remix by Peter Invasion and Gregor Habicht.

Spring has arrived with added fervour here at Darkroom Dubs HQ, as Parisien maestro Prinze delivers four jubilant tracks heralding his much-anticipated label debut. His 'We Are Free' EP is a bold clarion call to the dancefloor that gives a mischievous nod to early '90s UK progressive house and the halcyon days of acid and rave culture while fully embracing a defined and distinctively psychedelic sonic vision of the future.

2025 will undoubtedly continue to be an eventful year for Prinze as he duly prepares a fistful of cosmic missives for his own Epicure Records and remix collaborations with Rotten City head honcho Alvaro Cabana and Silicone Soul. The latter is an acid dub of REMAIN & DaWad's 'Comatose' and is due to drop on Bogotá's Kaputt.wav label in early May. Much love x
