"...but we've always done it that way" is a common refrain, especially in churches, about how, who, and why we do and say things. In this post-resurrection appearance to the disciples, Jesus calls us to try out the new and engage the other side. Although it might seem difficult, scary, or odd, there is life abundant in the alternative of the divine reality.

The Other Side

What does it mean for "the Word" to become "flesh?" What happens when not everyone agrees on the nature of the Word, have different faith paths, or find truth and life outside of religious traditions? God becoming human is good news for all people, and is wide enough to make space for the beliefs and lived experiences of everyone.
