Nils Frahm is one of the best artists out there in my opinion, with pretty much the best live show I've ever seen. But aside from all that, this was just a really enjoyable remix to work on because the original is such a great piece of music, and seemingly so well suited to what I wanted to do with it - which was to try and turn Nils' instrumental jam on his Juno, into something house/techno/club/44 compatible, but still carrying the class and feeling of the original. It was one of those remixes that just seemed to fit and flow easily, with minimum strain and maximum enjoyment on my part - usually a good sign for a remix (the one's that have to be forced never seem to quite get there).

A very special artist has remixed one of Glenn's latest smash records. The man behind 'The Sound Of The Cosmos' and 'A Jedi's Night Out' has done a wonderful job in turning Glenn's 'Triangle & Strings' into a summery Ibiza style house record. The beginning starts off modestly with a warm old school groove before it grows into a shimmering melodic breakdown climax. This record has proven itself time and time again throughout the summer shows and festivals, and there is heavy support from all of the top jocks. Having been sublicensed already to Dave Seaman's Global Underground 'Lithuania' compilation and surely countless more compilations, we are proud and honoured to have Tom Middleton a part of the Morrison family. On the B Side brings newcomer Matt Lange and he steps up to the plate in a big way. Having been BT's studio engineer for two years, this extremely talented producer hailing from Boston has put together a hypnotic rendition of Glenn's record.

Hot off the heels of the big summer smash of Redroche's 'Twista' comes Carl Cox favourite Joe Brunning with his wonderful EP showcasing him as an organic house producer.  You can hear and listen to his Chicago and Detroit influences as we have soaring pads, atmospheric flighty vocals, subtle acid house flashes and rolling analog baselines. Joe is a terrific musician and a new artist to Morrison Recordings, and we are proud to showcase not only his music, but his talent as a whole. Something Bruce and I made over the last couple weeks and we think it's super fresh.  With the sultry sexy saxophone, to the big old school synth riff, I feel like with all of the more commercial stuff I've been doing lately this record here is for the old school fans. That atmostpheric melodic progressive house stuff I was known for so it's nice to do a new one like this.  Plus, getting to work with my longtime friend Bruce is always great.  We did so many amazing records back in the day and then took a break doing our own things, so hopefully this is the first of many more to collab on this year with! Hope you all enjoy it and let me know your thoughts!!
