SURPRISE! I’ve been going through so much TECHNO music for the second night of STAX with Chris Liebing this Saturday in Brooklyn that I thought it would be appropriate to share a set of mine from where it all began… DETROIT!

As you all may already know, I rarely release sets from the past but today I’m sharing my Movement set from 2016. This was such a special gig for me for so many reasons. I was asked last minute to fill in the headline slot for Richie Hawtin and it became a set that I’ll never forget. If you were there, you would know how much fun this one was.

Laron aka Swan is a longtime San Francisco DJ and producer, now based in Chicago. His tracks have appeared on labels such as Classic, Sunburn, Bounce House, and many others. His production feature high energy beats with funky bass lines. His remix of "It's All About" features a chugging acid line with deep pads and hard hitting vocals.

Rainy Day House

This was a fun one. 

It was a magical night at Disco Knights. After all the hard work everyone put in building Disco Knights it was especially special to share this set with so much of my DK family. I am always happy to cast spells with you lot.

Nothing beats playing on that rig. I built this set around things i wanted to play very loud in the Desert and that would push our sound system. Big thanks to Christopher Charles for the engineering and letting me do just that and the sweet ass Mastering job he did on this mix.

Shout out to Jimmy V for setting me up so nicely with that first Jacking House tune. I hit it hard with some acid disco and never looked back.

Shane one (Live @ Disco Knights 2019)

San Francisco based house DJ / producer Ed Mazur is rapidly becoming one to watch for. Ed’s music features a distinctive style that blends widely varying sounds of house music together seamlessly into a sound that is solidly underground yet easily accessible. His productions feature strong funk influences and deep organic sounds mixed in with the tech influenced side of house. Best known as a resident DJ and founder of the Burning Man crew Disco Knights (recently voted the top music camp at Burning Man), he first gained attention for his remix of Radiohead’s “Punchup at a Wedding” on the Fresh Press imprint that received widespread play, and more recently with his label, House on the Hill’s releases including "It's All About” featuring a massive remix by Giom, which enjoyed widespread support from A-list DJs and spent two months in the Top 10 house chart. He also been featured on Blue Orb Records with his track co-produced by Bo, “Jus Piphany”.
