In the end, as I held my dear wife,
I lay my head down upon her chest,
so as not to miss the last breath of her precious life...
I heard the steady beat of her heart continue for 6 more beats,
as each beat sailed ever more quietly over the horizon.


Who is to say...
might we actually step into the next life
even as we leave this one?

One of my works recorded in my "previous" life before the war. Sometimes we feel tiny and lonely in the Universal. Lately I feel tiny and helpless facing the horrors of the war in my country...

I need a break from all of this
This constant ever growing mess
The piles of lies, their thin disguise
That fail to open sleeping eyes
I've banged my head against the wall
For longer than feels comfortable
So I drink until I lose my mind
Shut up shop, just for tonight

I'm done winking at my kindred friends

I'm done frowning
I'm done drowning
I'm dumbfounded, how the fuck does this end?

Mirror, Mirror Tell Me The Truth - Improvised Piano Piece

Another composition recorded before the war. I hope one day I will return to my home studio. Any support from you is much appreciated on these extremely hard times for our country, our family. 
I could have recorded much new music for the last 9 months... unless russians came to our yard to "save" us with their tanks, missiles, bombs and war planes at 4 a.m. on Feb 24th. And yes, they saved us from our house, from our normal life, from our dreams and plans. They saved my elderly parents from their home and peaceful life in retiring, saved my daughter from happy childhood, from school, from her friends and vacation by the sea. We'll never forget and never forgive it! I'm sure that russia will get what it deserves - each rocket they launch on Ukraine will turn to another 10 years of disaster for their cowardly people.

I had enjoyed hearing some of the great reverb used by
one of our excellent SoundCloud composers, 
Ricardo Da Silva:  https://soundcloud.com/hobbits-odyssey
he advised me on the Spaces 2 reverb from EastWest.

So, I took it for a test ride on this composition.

I started off with what I thought was an original idea,
but it occurred to me how much it kept feeling 
like it could be built on top of Vangelis's score, Alpha.

So, I decided to wander off into an homage of a scant segment of Alpha.

As I was finishing it off, the final chords sounded a lot like
Bach's Toccata in D minor,
...so what the heck...
Since the instrument I had built for this song 
sounded almost good enough to substitute for a baroque organ, 
I just went with it.

Maybe a dash of Ave Maria in a slightly different light, as well.
