“Walking around, talking to them, getting to know them, and then they’ll talk to you” was how Father David Shelton explained his job as a prison chaplain at Casuarina, Hakea and Karnet prisons during our interview with him during one of his very few spare moments. During the interview he discusses life inside the prison, his experiences, and the process of becoming a chaplain in one of WA’s prisons.

We were lucky enough to sit down with Deacon Patrick Moore from the Stella Maris Seafarers Center in Fremantle to speak to him about his job and hear some of his stories from his five years at the center. He also tells us how he got the job, and where he sees the center in the future.
