Remembering

The much loved and highly sought after Hot Toddy Remix of Never Gonna Reach Me is finally getting a long overdue vinyl repress from the original masters and artwork. It’s no exaggeration to say that NGRM has become a bona fide disco classic since its first release that has stood the test of time.  Crazy P band member Chris Todd took the original version from the band’s Stop, Space, Return album and remixed it up for the dance floor adding disco drums, rhodes keys and arpeggiated synth sequences. On the flip side there is another sublime remix from Still Going, the New York duo best known for their output on DFA. All in all an absolutely essential addition to any record collection...

Hooray to the newest associates of the Riotvan family, https://soundcloud.com/the-chord-memory-club! And what an initiation it is. They are firing away with Planet Rock-informed Electrovibes that will make you want to get your freezes and powermoves on immediately. Needless to say, there are hi-energy chords all over the place on the A-side „Alpha Juno Love“. A similar rhythmic kink is to be observed on the flip „Accroche-Toi À Ton Amour“ as well, just backed by rather straight four to the floor patterns. On top of that they are serving some cut up synth and vocal garnish, rounding the whole thing off to a delicious little dancefloor cakelet.

Since their Debut in 2018, Ray Barragan & Lionel Rifkin aka Club Tularosa have built a unique taste. Mixing flavors of Post Punk, Italo, Techno & even the obscure parts of psychedelic funk. They’ve proven themselves as proper party starters. Following their first hit in 2019 ‘Kenji’, Club Tularosa released a second EP ‘Pyramids’ on Me Me Me records which catapulted them into the global touring circuit. 2021 brought huge success with originals & remixes for labels such as Correspondent, Throne of Blood, HE. SHE. THEY., Calypso & Australia’s Soothsayer. 
While they’re DJs first, Club Tularosa continues to raise the bar with productions. As musicians, they continue to push the boundaries of club music by exploring diversity and implementing range in their sound.
