Haaaa, tellement contente de ce set ! J’ai essayé d’y passer des artistes trans que j’admire, des sorties récentes sur lesquelles j’ai flashé, certaines de mes go-to tracks, et de conduire ce set vers un climax speed et euphorique. J’espère que vous aimerez ce set autant que moi, et qu’il vous ramènera dans de beaux souvenirs si vous étiez là à crier ou vous pécho au premier rang !

Je suis tellement contente d’avoir partagé cette scène du Cabaret Aléatoire avec certain.e.s de mes artistes favori.te.s, tellement contente d’avoir pu offrir set à ce public d’amiEs… Merci de m’avoir fait confiance et d’être restéEs jusqu’au bout 🥰🥰🥰 C’est si beau le travail accompli par Baham Arts : je trouve que la reconnaissance pour les artistes minoritaire est compliquée à obtenir, alors que nos singularités donnent souvent des choses magnifiques. Ce line up de clôture à majorité trans et racisée l’a bien prouvé, une fois de plus.

Je vais pas mentir, pour moi c’était compliqué. Pas de trac, cette scène je l’attendais depuis longtemps ! Mais ces temps-ci la violence s’abat sur moi et mes sœurs trans comme une autre forme canicule, et c’est pesant. La veille de mon set une amie a failli mourir, dans la rue. Plus tôt dans le mois, une autre était droguée dans un club. « Trans life », commentait une autre. Mais je suis reconnaissante, car j’arrive à trouver dans la musique une manière de naviguer dans les émotions difficiles que ça génère. Du coup, être sur scène ce soir-là c’était pas anodin ; comme une envie de tout casser qui passe par les BPMs*. Anecdote croustillante : oui je suis montée de 130 à 195 BPM. Deux hétérelous qui dansaient derrière un pote se disaient « - oh ! là là… c’est rapide hein ‽ - Ah ça oui… et elle continue d’augmenter ! - Qu’est-ce qu’on fait tu crois ? - … - On reprend un taz ‽ - Je crois qu’il faut oui… »

So happy with this mix ! I tried to play some of my favourite trans artists tracks, recent releases that I crushed on, some of my go-to tracks and I tried to drive this set towards a speedy and euphoric climax. I hope you'll like this as much as I do and that it will bring back nice memories if you were there.

I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to share the scene at Cabaret Aléatoire with some of my favorite artists, so glad I can share this mix to all of the friends who came. Thanks a lot for the trust and for staying all night long 🥰🥰🥰 Baham Arts work is so beautiful: acknowledgement is something complicated to get when you’re an artist from a marginalized group, even though our singularities often yield magnificent stuff. This almost fully trans and racialized line up proved it one more time. 

I’m not going to lie, it was really complicated for me. I was expecting this for a long time, so it had nothing to do with stress. Rather these days, violence is falling down on me and my trans sisters like another heat wave, and it’s cumbersome. The day before this party, a friend almost died in the street. Sooner, another was drugged in a club. “Trans life” commented a friend. But I am grateful, because I manage to find in music a way of navigating into rough emotions that this kind of event generate. So for be, being on the stage this night was special: I felt a desire to tear everything apart, that was channeled through BPMs.

edna joue vite et fort mais sait rester bouncy et sexy en mélangeant les rythmes et les genres. Elle chemine aux alentours de la techno, des breaks de la club music et de la tribe old school. Sa musique parle de ce qu’elle vit et explore ce qu’elle voit dans la fête : stase, extase, kink, joie d’être en vie… L’ambiance est dynamique et sensuelle, et invite à tout lâcher pour suivre ce tempo qui ne cesse d’augmenter. 

edna plays it fast and loud but keeps it bouncy and sexy by blending rhythms and genres. She weaves in and out and around techno, club music and old school tribe. Her music depicts and talks about what she lives and explores in the party scene: stasis, ecstasy, kink, joy of being alive... The atmosphere she creates is dynamic and sensual, and invites to let go and follow the ever-increasing tempo.

La P*rny Night 2024 était tellement hoooooooot, merci le Bruxelles PFF de m'avoir invitée une nouvelle fois pour que je puisse nourrir ce dancefloor plein à craquer de horniness comme il le méritait : 2 heures de beats dynamiques et sensuels, des ambiances weird asf et des vocals pervers et suggestifs.
