Auf (Hoch-)Touren

Der Gig ist unter Dach und Fach, die Playtime fix und Flug & Hotel sind gebucht. Was für ein überragendes Gefühl, für die große Leidenschaft auf Reisen zu sein. Es ist jedes Mal wieder wie ein kleines Abenteuer. Man steigt ohne Erwartungen in den Flieger und kehrt um viele, wunderbar-einzigartige Erfahrungen reicher, müde und glücklich in die Heimat zurück. 
Bereits am Flughafen steigt die Spannung und Vorfreude auf ein extraordinäres Level an. Wie wird der Club? Auf was für Leute treffe ich wohl? Kann ich mit meinem Set überzeugen? Alle diese Frage schießen einem durch den Kopf, während der Flieger langsam aber sich vom Boden abhebt. Auf dem Laptop werden schnell die letzten Feinheiten und Korrekturen vorgenommen, anschließend kann die Aussicht aus dem Fenster genossen werden. Am Flughafen des Zielortes erwartet mich bereits einer der Veranstalter. Er ist mir direkt sympathisch und gemeinsam fahren wir zu einem Restaurant, um dort mit den anderen Acts und Organisatoren der Veranstaltung zu dinieren. Anschließend geht es erstmal ins Hotel. Ich nutze die letzten Stunden vor dem Auftritt, um mich zu erholen und zu entspannen. Kurz bevor die Veranstaltung beginnt, werde ich wieder abgeholt und wir fahren zum Club. Dort angekommen komme ich aus dem Staunen schier nicht mehr heraus. Alles ist sehr anschaulich hergerichtet und auch der Andrang an der Tür ist enorm. Ein vielversprechender Abend liegt vor mir. Es ist einfach fabelhaft wieder auf Tour zu sein. 

Unser heutiger Gast auf KataHaifisch trägt den Künstlernamen fid codo. Bei seinem Podcast handelt es sich um eine überragende Komposition aus treibenden Downtempo Werken, welche darüber hinaus vorzüglich ineinander gemixt sind. Die Songs schmiegen sich wie Zwillingskinder harmonisch aneinander. Wir raten: Zieht euch warm an und werft den nächstbesten Regenponcho über – denn das Sturmtief @andsn weht über die Ländereien und nimmt euch schonungslos in die Mangel. 

Auf den ersten Blick ist kein Ausweg in Sicht, wenn ein Unwetter mit 112 Umdrehungen/Minute alla grobkörnigem Schmirgelsound ihr Unwesen in euren Gehörgängen treibt. Doch wir haben euch die Tipps:

1 Ei, 1 Ibuprofen, 1 Rosinenbrötchen mit Leberwurst – und denn Bier ins Spiel kommen lassen! Sobald ihr beim 3. Kuchlbauer Hefe angekommen seid und den Schaum vorschriftsmäßig unten eingeschenkt habt, ist alles wieder normal und der Faktor wieder drin. Kein Grund zur Sorge also. 

Mit den entsprechenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen lassen sich die folgenden 100 Minuten und 35 Sekunden bedenkenlos reinschrauben. Der Schlüssel liegt ja bekanntlich im Drehmoment.

Wem das alles zu kompliziert ist, der möge sich in einen schlüpfrig-schleimigen Wurm verwandeln und sich schnell windend unter Tage verkriechen, ehe die Großwetterlage umschwingt und das sandmeisterliche Basskarlgewitter sich vollends entlädt.

Andsn im Basskarltheater

Festival summer is coming to an end... I am blown away. I had the time of my life! 🌞

My gig at Lusatia Festival on Friday evening 20-22:00 was the most satisfying I ever had. When I started playing there were about 200 people on the stage who were really into dancing already and when I was finished, there were well over 1000. It was just crazy 😳 

Such a great pleasure to celebrate the finale with so many friends and familiar faces from the scene. Thank you for everything! ❤️

Hypnotizing melodies, bass and percussion blended in a deep tribal mix, that’s what gets Ed Noodle going. From downtempo sets at sunset or sunrise, to an energetic train rolling you into the night: in any case the goal will be to keep you dancing with prehistoric power.

Ed is at his best when he takes the time to tell a story, relying on the right tracks and buildup for that exact place and moment in time. A craft he honed at gatherings like AfrikaBurn and Midburn, which fit his sound and energetic presentation like a glove. This brought him to places like The Gardens of Babylon Festival, Garbicz, GOAT in Portugal, Acid Bogen at KATER in Berlin, Secret Brunch in London and Harmonizz Festival in Israel.

Besides being a DJ, Ed also releases his own music on more and more labels and is co-founder of Wolvenroedel, a party pack that he started with YOИDI to get people dancing. And last but not least, he came up with The Noodle Lounge. It's a beautiful decorated stage at festivals where you can relax and shift back some gears, while you're sitting or lying down and enjoying some soothing downtempo music. And yes, some hot noodles to make the comfort level even bigger.
