it’s about how quickly we move on 
[ or pretend to ] without ever really processing what broke us in the first place.

the song embodies our emotional vulnerability: how we only open up during the late hours, when substances or distractions make everything feel easier. 
but it’s never a real solution, is it?

and it’s only then that we realize the weight of the past still lingers. we carry unhealed scars into something new and without even noticing, we pass them on to each other in a vicious circle.

and in the end, the person we hurt the most might just be ourselves.
