This song came from a time when everything felt internal—heavy, quiet, unresolved. Revisiting it now through this blues-rooted lens changed the entire meaning for me. It no longer sounds like someone trapped inside the damage. It sounds like someone who’s lived through it and decided to speak plainly. Same words. Different spine.
