Zouk remix of the beautiful Brooklyn Duo arrangement for and performance on piano and cello of "Flowers".

After a private zouk class with Eva Stolk​ of https://www.zoukamsterdam.nl/ where all the focus was on _feeling_ the dance, I felt inspired to try and work on a zouk remix that incorporated a sense of slowing down. When I heard this arrangement for piano and cello of "Flowers" by the Brooklyn Duo I thought it might make the perfect target. I've kept all of the rubato -- the push and pull of the rhythm -- of the original also in the zouk version, wrote a new oboe part that subtly emphasises the zouk tresillo rhythm but more importantly keeps the energy of the piece a bit more grounded and more flowing (the piano and cello increase in energy all the time). Added a bass part and percussion, both of which obviously also emphasise the zouk rhythm, as well as some background strings and some effects to give it more of a sense of space. I struggled for quite a while with the finale of the original, as it increased so much in energy that I was just not able to make it really work in this version; in the end I decided to cut it entirely, and instead go back to a variation on the first verse, which i think works much better.
