The No Surrender Riddim EP is the first release from Monkey Marc’s Jamaican project. The EP includes versions by Sizzla, Capleton, Fantan Mojah, Spring Wata and Jah Thunder over Monkey Marc's heavy hip hop beat and driving bass lines. Additional production by Mista Savona (Havana Meets Kingston). 

In an era of transient digital production throughout the modern music industry, Monkey Marc’s production hearkens back to the classic sound of golden era hip hop and the raw energy of 90s dancehall. No Surrender was produced on an MPC3000 and an ATC1 analog synthesizer, and tracked through a vintage BBC broadcast mixing console in Monkey Marc’s solar-powered studio in Melbourne, Australia. 

No Surrender is released on Sydney vinyl label Digi Killaz, with previous releases including Monkey Marc’s Dancehall Fraud feat. Jimmy Screech and Mashdown Rome feat. Speng Bond. 

No Surrender is the first riddim release off the Soundclash Inna Kingston Town full-length album, slated for release in late 2017. Other artists on the Soundclash LP include Iba Mahr, Dre Island, Ninja Man, Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, Prince Allah and a host of up-and-coming artists.

Produced and mixed by Monkey Marc. Additional production by Mista Savona. Mastered at Transition Mastering, UK.

Firing up the bassbins and hitting you hard with a dose of raggamuffin junglist energy is what Ed Solo is all about. From Glastonbury to Canada's Shambhala, from dirty Brixton back rooms to Spanish arenas, Ed has travelled the globe throwing down his unique brand of ruffneck bassline bravado for more than a decade. 

Ed's knack for the rudest of hooks is equalled only by his sublime studio skills. He cut his teeth in the mid '90s engineering at the notorious SOUR Records studios, going on to lay down a series of groundbreaking collaborations with jungle kingpin DJ Brockie. In 2007 Ed released ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ alongside Skool of Thought, featuring ‘When I Was A Yout’ and ‘We Play The Music’ among others. A 10th anniversary remix package drops in 2017.

Ed’s partnership with Jungle Cakes partner in crime Deekline has thrown up some of the most memorable tunes of the decade. The pair recently mixed the chart-topping 5th edition of their Welcome to the Jungle series.
