The dancers have a pent-up desire built up over the week to get loose. They have had a nanna nap in the afternoon to rejuvenate themselves for a long night reaching early into Friday. Those who have come to be seen want the music to be fresh, hip and recent because their currency is being in the coolest places of the moment. For those who are missing something, they want that one track which will make it worthwhile, that will speak to them so personally that it will forever alter their trajectory. This is the peak set of the week for the most committed. 

Over the course I want the dancer types to have anchored the movement on the dance floor, drawing the more reluctant types in the fold by the time more well-known tracks are being played. By the end I want people to be thoroughly rinsed out, then filled up again with the promise of new possibilities. The peak should be arriving around midnight, the balance point between darkness and light. I want to push their edges a bit, bringing in some higher BPM drum and bass flavors, with well known tracks (for the sparkle ponies) as fresh remixes (for the aficionados). When they finish, I want people to have felt like they just got away with something naughty.

Love In The Endz Co-founder & Creative Director Blue Canariñho presents ‘O Gringo Fenemono’, the fourth artefect in the SubconsciousSonics series which sees the series take a more UK x Brasilian tinged direction.

Embracing both the Baile Funk and Grime scenes Blue has been involved in over the past 10 years in London and Europe. The project is a dedication to both cultures and the heritage behind them, fusing the sonics of each location and subverting the original meanings behind the tracks, through eclectic synthesis choices.

The project will be accompanied by the debut teaser viusals for the Virtual world created by Blue and LITE’s 3D artist Jonjo, which will expand with each drop into new areas, territories and buildings. 

Once the series is complete, it will be fully accessible for personal exploration through bluecanarinho.com - with hidden easter eggs buried in the primative and psychedelic 3D renders which expose some of the subconscious thought processes that helped create the art.

Live Set Remake - 2024.06.10

This set is a rework from my 5/7/24 set "Dating Ritual". 
After I listened to the original recording I was very dissatisfied with my SCORE #1 and #2.  I wanted to make sure that after grounding my dancer I committed to a steady climb to my #3 and that I continued to move the plot forward.  Conversely I wanted to keep my #3, #4 and #5 because I was extremely happy with the original recording.  Finally, I wanted to simplify my 6 and 7.  I felt that the original had too many genre changes and I was trying to “say” too much.  I brought in a new #6 that I’m obsessed with right now (Thandaza) and blended that into a floaty instrumental before landing the set in Solar Power. I played this set live at my pool party and it went perfectly (although quite short at 45 minutes).  When I recorded the next day, I completely fucked up transitioning into I Feel For You (both the intro and the outro).  Sorry for that!!!!!!! Otherwise I’m pretty happy with the rework (although I don’t think I quite hit the mark of “MAKE IT GREAT”.
