In 2017, one UW Madison student created a Facebook group for students to share their own comedic jabs at campus life through memes. Today, the group has grown to nearly 30,000 members - and the community is shaping campus culture and discourse.

This week on New Domains, we hear from Shane Linden - the founder of UW Memes for Milk-Chugging Teens - and one current admin, Eddie Estevez. They explain the group's origins and the importance of memes in student life.

Remember the reminiscent ending music in the last scene of Sonic Adventure 2? I took the sample & flipped it!

This year has been a rollercoaster. I started off the year sharing a (what is still my favorite) remix of Rouge the Bat's theme from SA2 that actually was fairly successful. I decided to keep doing more sample flips & they were--for the most part--all hits across social media. I decided I wanted to end 2020 the same way I started it: with a SA2 remix. I can't thank you all enough for your support. Here's to 2021!
