Synergie is a collective from Germany that supports underground artists and has an ear for them. The likes of TWR72, Bailey Ibbs, Egotot, and others are invited to their events, which include parties throughout their country in addition to being a record label.

Artificial DNA also hails from Germany and the experienced DJ has now turned his hand to production debuting on Synergie, while previously landing tracks on ASHR and Synthlab Records.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track "Childsupport" with a raw and bouncing groove. Introducing mechanical growls, some tribal percussion, and other quirky elements, he creates a unique tapestry of inventiveness while having a eye on the dance floor.

While at first glance electronic music in 2018 seems increasingly balkanized, borders between genres have once again become fuzzier. Now, on his follow up LP ‘Gens’, Gräser looks beyond the bass euphoria of his debut album ‘Code’ (Ostgut Ton, 2014) toward darker horizons and a desolate atmosphere befitting of current global circumstances.

Part four in Alden Tyrell's latest project: "Vorm Variaties", a 5 release series consisting of tracks recorded in the last 2 years. The "Vorm Variaties" tracks were a "Style Excercise" for Tyrell, flexing his producermuscle while health issues forced him to stop touring. Initially he had no intention to release these tracks but we found them so good that we were almost forced to start this series. All tracks selected are variations on classic techno forms, using classic style ingredients and the 909. All 5 "Variaties" are different in style, yet all homogenous, all with Alden Tyrell's sound signature... on point production skills and stripped down arrangements.

Tresor Records is glad to announce two releases by James Ruskin, coming in November 2019. The brand new Siklikal EP featuring four new productions, along with the remaster and reissue of Point 2 - Ruskin’s debut album on Tresor. 


First released in 2000, Point 2 marked a fine debut that entrenches the minimal sequences, utilitarian funk and eerie hypnosis found within Ruskin’s body of work. As Tresor’s relationship with the UK sound grew stronger across the course of the ’00s, it was Ruskin, the label owner of Blueprint Records, who played a critical part in this. Throughout the trio of LPs released over that decade, inspirations of the sci-fi minimal Detroit sound lie abundant, rendered through corporeal slammers typical of the UK vein.

Point 2 was the first of Ruskin’s trilogy for Tresor, and brought a direct and uncompromising vibrancy to the fore, from the aquatic symphony featured on ‘From Over The Edge’ to the pinpoint gaze of ‘Subject’. Gurning loops beat against alien samples, drained into refined abstractions of pure techno.

Newly remastered and featuring two tracks previously not cut onto vinyl, this upfront and bold classic is set to span dancefloors once again.


James Ruskin follows up with a bold new EP entitled Siklikal.

Right from the outset, Nepte draws in by vast sonics and laser focus, unruly synths distort over a skipping beat that hits hard in the right places. As the beat takes a backstep but no less rhythmic, Kn Te3 is one for adventurous DJs, recalling the minimal loops that Ruskin is known for, seeped in industrial melancholy that fizzes a granular decay.

On the b-side, Nocke brings the beat back to the forefront with a muscular UK techno sound, highly effective and pounding. Closing the EP is Kn Am3 which retains the industrial sinew of its near-namesake Kn Te3, exposing raw synth excursions over brutalist machinations. This EP symbolises Ruskin’s dynamic approach, pushing at boundaries yet never without a strong grip over the dancefloor.


Tresor.145 and Tresor.314 release November 1st and 8th on 180g. 2LP and 12" vinyl respectively.
