The desert can be a hostile place with fierce mercenaries and elite assassins riding around on camels and raiding caravans, tents, and even villages, coming upon them so suddenly when people least expect it that they don't even know how to defend themselves. Nobody seems to be able to stop them from their pillaging and plundering. The best advice is to be wary at all times, for you never know when or where they will make their next move.
