The Epic World Library by Eduardo Tarilonte has some phenomenal sounding instruments, so I wanted to combine some of the exotic sounding flutes with Piano and Strings to see what the result would be.

Epic World - Last Look

Two alts we made for Extra History's series on Justinian and Theodora.  It's based on the Hymn "Only Begotten Son", popularized by Justinian during a doctrinal dispute with the Origenists.  As a result, it is sometimes called "Justinian's Hymn". We kept our instrumentation simple, with a Viola to evoke the Byzantine Lyra, and a Harp to imitate the Lyre.

Experimented for the first time with two amazing Kontakt libraries over the weekend. Featured in the piece are Edwardo Tarilonte's Cantus Monks and his equally amazing Shevannai Elves. Both virtual instruments that allow you to create rich soundscapes. Work in progress.
