And the punk goes on: A party-hungry producer crowd has gathered to celebrate the successful last Symphonix album - with an intriguing series of remixes. Time To Punk Remixed is a cross section through the creative potential of today's Progressive Trance scene. 
There is the deep, rolling groove of Ticon. There is the hi-octane dance floor power of Protonica and Trance veteran Astrix. There is the mighty impact of Class A and Com!ng Soon, the freestyle sound cocktail of Interactive Noise, and the streamlined, modern tunes of Tezla, Kopel and Weekend Heroes.
As diverse as these remixes are, there's clearly a uniting element: A party attitude as frenetic and reckless as if there was no tomorrow.

Producer and vocalist Kevin Knapp delivers his killer new single Blah Blah Blah, returning to the Hot Creations fold after last years vocal feature on Jamie Jones’ Positive Pressure. Here, Jamie returns the favour, partnering with another label favourite, Detlef, to supply a monster of a remix.

Finding time in his hectic schedule of touring the world, running various record labels and his Paradise parties, Jamie Jones teams up with one of his Paradise residents Detlef to deliver an audacious remix, perfect for the twilight hours. Hardy percussion, acid blips and pulses meld together to form a bolshy, no-frills remix. Greek artist Detlef shot into the limelight in recent years with releases and remixes on labels like Hot Creations, Relief, Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour, and Defected.

Kevin Knapp gained attention with a string collaborations with Audiojack (Gruuv, 2012), Matt Tolfrey (Leftroom, 2012) and his debut Hot Creations cut with Richy Ahmed (2013). A prolific producer and featured vocalist since 2011, Kevin has released on the likes of Hottrax, Crosstown Rebels, Dirtybird, Mother Recordings and more.

Breaking onto the scene with a new label and new music, the Belgian based Cri Du Coeur has released a powerful 3 track EP, comprised of an original mix and 2 guest remixes named Diaphragm.
Teasing what more is to come from both him and his label, Diaphragm (Original Mix) is an eerie and fast-paced techno beat, designed to leave you breathless as the manipulation of volume builds suspense as it minimises and maximises the elements. Accompanied by 2 other high-calibre versions, the Truncate remix brings the DJ’s recognisable touch to the stand-out hi-hats and overall hefty vibe of the track, while Kaiser’s take is a little more abstract from the original; bring- ing pure transformational and industrial grit to the forefront.
Releasing on his very own Arkham Audio, Diaphragm is set to be released on the 18th of March 2020. Watch this space for more to come from Cri Du Coeur and his label Arkham Audio.

Mind Return

From Another Mind founders SHDW & Obscure Shape announce charity remix package featuring an array of rising talents with all proceeds doubled by the German duo and donated to Ärzte Ohne Grenzen (Médecins Sans Frontières aka Doctors Without Borders).

Opening the package, Anterist's remix of SHDW & Obscure Shape's 'Die Weiße Rose' rolls forward with cantering kicks, off-beat hats and murky synths, leading into Jay Clarke's contrasting version with its chuggy bassline, piercing stabs and murky atmospherics - broken up by celestial breakdown at the midway point. Next, Leksom's take on the same track is built upon gloomy sound design and features syncopated drums and oscillating effects.

STXRK then remixes 'Gesang Der Toten Dinge' to create a relentless groove courtesy of precision kicks, delayed notes and tantalising arps. Finally, the package concludes with a curveball remix of 'Die Weiße Rose' from Underher who creates an epic number opening with a suspenseful and atmospheric intro, incorporating a brand new and original serene vocal from Eleonora, before shifting into a meandering rhythm - the result is a twisted and esoteric aesthetic.

For her contribution, Raptor delivers “Importing Histories”,  a pulse pounding work which fuses her love of techno, trance, acid, industrial and more. This track is the perfect example and the whole v/a is an excellent start to this promising label.
