Me and Ben thought it would be fun to play a long DJ set together at Globus, the upstairs floor at Tresor in Berlin. 
We last played together (as Frequency 7) in May 2013. This time we played a ‘back to back’ DJ set, I’m pretty sure playing 2 tracks each for the whole six and a half hour set. All we had in mind beforehand was to start with some Dub and ‘see where it goes’. 

It was a lot of fun so we wanted to share the recording with you.

Simon has supported a list of artists longer than your arm, including Larry Heard, Theo Parrish, The Blessed Madonna, Rolando, Herbert, Claude Young, Maurice Fulton, Grace Jones, Derrick Carter, Moodymann, Moritz von Oswald, Charles Webster, Fred P and Frankie Knuckles. He currently holds down Monday Sunset on FBI Radio, and is resident/co-promoter of Mad Racket, a Sydney underground party institution running since 1998. A regular headlining guest around Australia, he has also played multiple clubs in Europe: Berlin, multiple clubs (first in 1998 at the original Tresor and most recently at Panorama Bar/Berghain and Heideglühen in 2024), Hamburg (including 3 times at Golden Pudel), London, Moscow, St Petersburg and Czech Republic. Simon has appeared twice on Boiler Room, first in 2014 and most recently in March 2024 with House of Mince, and once for Mixmag Lab.

Matt is the author of The Psychedelic DJ: A Practical Guide to Therapeutic Music Curation and Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy (https://a.co/d/3Rj3G4r), a guide for facilitators and psychonauts that combines DJ techniques, counseling, music curation, and psychedelic therapy. As a seasoned DJ, mental health counselor, and psychedelic guide, his work sits at the crossroads of music, healing, and expanded consciousness.

With over 30 years of experience exploring sound and psychedelics—from pioneering New York City’s early ’90s psytrance scene to cofounding the techno/house label Railyard Recordings—Matt eventually shifted his focus from nightlife to clinical psychology. Today, he runs Integrated Psychedelics (https://integratedpsychedelics.com), a private practice dedicated to guided journeywork, preparation, and integration support for psychedelic experiences.

"Psilocybin Therapy Protocol 2: The Shadow" is the second part of a four-hour DJ mix series I've created from hundreds of live psychedelic therapy sessions. Following Protocol 1 – The Light (available via ASIP's Isolated Mix Series at https://tinyurl.com/isolatedmix132), which focused on major chords and sublimation, this sequel encourages deeper exploration using minor chord progressions to uncover hidden aspects of the psyche.
