Edward Bernays wrote in his 1928 book, Propaganda "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country".

In 1913 Edward began working with theaters, concerts and other venues as a press agent. In 1917, US President Woodrow Wilson founded the Committee on Public Information where Bernays worked to influence public opinion in favor of World War I. In 1919 he established the position of Public Relations counselor in New York where he began teaching Public Relations at New York University. 

Edward Bernays went on to work with President Calvin Coolidge, Proctor & Gamble, CBS, United Fruit Company, the American Tobacco Company, GE, Dodge and the public health sector to add fluoride, a byproduct of Dupont's aluminum into the United States water supply under the guise of preventing dental carries. Fluoride was a popular rodent poison and is used today in the popular drug, Prozac, and 72% of the water supply in the United States with a new goal set by the CDC to reach 78%.

Despite the founding of the United States of America as a constitutional republic, and a republican form of government specifically dictated by the constitution of the United States, Americans were enamoured with democracy and began to use the term interchangeably with "republic" when describing the US Government. Edward Bernays was influential in promoting the idea that World War I aimed at bringing democracy to all of Europe. 

Bernays is also credited with making bacon and eggs the "All American Breakfast", cigarette smoking for women, the use of Lead as an additive in paint & gasoline and the use of asbestos in Americas homes. Bernays popularized the use of press releases and lived to age 103. Edward Bernays was the nephew of Sigmund Freud.

Meanwhile, the bodies of 200,000,000 Americans, the dirt of millions of acres of crops and the entire food supply in the US accumulates and delivers more and more brain-damaging fluoride and it's systemic devastation in the US, anybody that eats food prepared in the US and all importers of American food products.

The only person I can think of, but I can't name, more damaging to an entire nation than Edward Bernays would be the person or people that managed categorize anything controversial, provable by science, physics, biology or logic as a "conspiracy theory".
