Description: Closing out the Glamcocks GLOW YOUR OWN WAY party at Burning Man 2024!

Wednesday night at the burn I played a very special set comprised of over a decade of my favorite bass-heavy tracks including Cumbia Trap, Moombahton, London Trap, Baile House, Jersey Club and more. 

DJing at BM often brings lots of technical and physical challenges as the alkaline dust is poison to electronics and so unfortunately the first thirty minutes of the set's recording had to be scrapped due to a fader on one deck of the mixer cutting out unexpectedly throughout the set. Pay no heed whenever you hear volume drops in the mixing. Hahaha. 

Oh yeah, and the power went out right as I was getting into some London Trap towards the end, but that's okay because when the power kicked back in we finished up with ten powerful minutes of Jersey Club, cause duh, and ended with a Baile edit of a classic. Strap in for a fun ride.

It'd been a dream of mine to bring the Locos Lucas latin bass music sound to Burning Man for a few years, so when the stars aligned to host a Locos Lucas party at the world famous Kostume Kult, I knew we had to rep for our Latin, immigrant and NYC communities. 

I played after 3 amazing DJ's, Coco Prosecco, WaxAddix and GMZ, and didn't hear any Reggaeton, Dembow or Moombahton...so I knew I had to do it. I even threw in some Salsa edits and a Cumbia BANGER. Más música latina y más perreo en Burning Man!

This DJ set aligned with my intention of bringing underrepresented sounds to the playa that are guaranteed to get people dancing.

Shout out to Coco Prosecco, WaxAddix and GMZ for joining me from the BIPOC Beats Collective to make the best TutuTú Y Yo team BM has ever seen. And THANK YOU to ZJ Eddy, Gene Harrison, Annie and the Kostume Kult crew for welcoming some locos for a latin bass takeover.
