Shimmering Light

Dark, atmospheric piece set to a minimal, hypnotic beat that leans towards early hip hop. The record is about the artist's recognition with solitude and large chunks of time spent alone. Opens with reminder of bleak sorrow and frightening realizations. As the record opens up we develop long, deep breaths hinting towards a more fulfilling outlook. A light at the end of the tunnel.

Solo

Between the dream-like-world and our consciousness; behind closing eye-lids, adrift into the serine and through the ethereal heavens. Traveling in physical form, entering into a lapse of reality, the state of meditation transcends our being here and now.

DJ, Producer, Mixing Artists and Music enthusiast residing in Chicago, IL area. Studied motion pictures and sound design at the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood, CA. Klutch has been growing artistically and developing his sound over the past years. Creating two experimental albums and a movie score; then slowly drifting into the mad and exciting world of dance music and DJing. Diving deep into the psyche of electronic music listeners by seeking out challenging, unusual and obscure records. With a growing record collection and enthusiasm for vinyl, Klutch creates an atmosphere in his productions and DJ sets that develop into a narrative or a story; creating a surreal cinematic semblance.

"I have a strong cinematic background. I sometimes view the approach of mixing records as a blank screen, such as a painter views a blank canvas. I fill that empty space with the feelings and sounds that resonate with me; sharing my imagination with others. There is this communal and yet very individualistic experience of projecting your ideas and personality into the world. To be captivating. To exist in the moment. And most importantly to dance." 

"I am inspired by cinema, literature, philosophy, poetry, traveling, the exploration of the dark side of human nature, the complex labyrinth of sexuality, and TECHNO. These facets are a catalyst to ideas and creativity; a link to something more profound; something beyond ourselves, beyond our consciousness. Through this boundlessness, allowing myself to fall into the abyss, I am discovering myself and the possibilities of the self and pushing beyond limitations; opening myself to that creative inspiration we once attributed to the muses."

Musically Klutch is inspired by the earlier Ibiza days and Berlin's unique, visceral aesthetic. "I find myself in near perfect harmony lost in a dark, dirty dungeon surrounded by dancing flesh, passion and desires as techno pumps through dark spaces, rattles iron bars and hard kick drums ricochet off the concrete. You can also find me in harmony, with a smile on my face, dancing in the daylight and bringing people together. Reminisant of the glory days of Ancient Greece and pagan Rome." Klutch's extensive knowledge in Techno, Industrial, House, Electronic, Ambient, Movie-Scores, Classical music etc. paves way for his ability to morph his style to fit a broad range of events and club spaces while maintaining that unique sound that is purely Klutch.
