This is a MIDI rendition of 'Training Montage' featured in the 1985 film Rocky IV; starring Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, Tony Burton, Brigitte Nielsen, and Dolph Lundgren. The original score was composed by Vince DiCola. One of the things I loved about this score was the use of synths compared to the previous films.  The hardest part was just the shear complexity of the music, it took about 4 days to complete. This is the motion picture version (minus the ending) and not the soundtrack version. Rocky IV - Training Montage (Cover)

Olympic Fanfare and Theme originally composed by John Towner Williams (how ironic is that!) "Olympic Fanfare and Theme" – 1984 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles
Written specifically for the opening ceremonies. In a 1996 re-release, the opening trumpet fanfare was replaced with "Bugler's Dream", a previous Olympic Theme written by Leo Arnaud. This recording has been used as the theme for NBC's Olympic coverage ever since. Williams received a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition.
*this ENTIRE composition was performed using Reason 8 from Propellerhead.  No sheet music or samples were used; EVERYTHING was performed by ear.  It took around 2 days to complete


Olympic Fanfare & Theme (Eddie's Rendition)

This track gives the listener an inside look into the world of music evolution through my eyes (Iris).  Written in the key of Bbmin, it was inspired by the great Hans Zimmer and his approach to creating scores.  I'm very proud to call this my 1st official piece of orchestral scoring; ENJOY!!!

Deep In The Iris

This is a cover of the Opening score "The Batman"; composed by Danny Elfman for the motion picture 'BATMAN' starring Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, & Kim Basinger.  I can honestly say this is one of the BEST covers I've EVER created.  I have tons of respect for Danny Elfman; his compositions are some of the most difficult to play.  I really wanted to pay homage to a legend & a great movie.  It took 2 days to compose this, of course all by ear.  Using Propellerhead's Reason 9 DAW for the composition with Logic to incorporate EastWest's Orchestral Library. Batman 1989 (The Cover)

This is a cover of the score "Raiders March;" associated with the action-hero Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford & originally from the movie Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981).  As with the entire Indiana Jones series; the original score was composed by the great John Williams.  He uses the main melody as the theme for "Indy" & he elegantly places it throughout his scores for the films.  You'll also hear the full theme in the ending credits along with the theme from the particular film.  In the case of "Raiders" it was "Marion's Theme," that was part of this score.  This is my favorite theme of all the movies, & an Oscar nominated classic by J. Williams.  This cover was performed by ear; but I also used the original score as a guide.  It took about a week to complete this monumental piece of music.  I don't use notation software, so EVERY part was played by hand.

Indiana Jones Theme (Cover)

This is the complete score suite for my composition "Deep In The Iris-Looking Closely." I decided to finish the motif of "Deep" by including a transition in "Looking."  I wanted to keep the transition dark, so a nice non-vibrato violin section was added and you hear the "spacey" acoustic guitar playing about before reappearing in the 2nd movement.  I'm proud of this theme, & it wasn't written to picture.  All MIDI, no live instruments.  The pic does not represent the actual score, enjoy!!

This is a cover of the score "Arcade" from the Motion Picture 'Man Of Steel,' directed by Zach Snyder & starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman.  The original score was composed by legendary Hans Zimmer.  After being inspired by listening to the various renditions of this score; I wanted to give it a shot.  It took about 3 days to complete this massive project, and I only did the 1st half.  Keep in mind; all of this is done on my 4GB MacBook Air using the various libraries described in the links below.  I really wanted to be meticulous in every detail of this amazing work; including designing all the various sound effects as well as finding the authentic 'Gravity Machine,' from the film. This is a cover of the fanfare from the opening of Marvel Studios film "SpiderMan: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland and featuring Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei & Robert Downey, Jr.  The original score was composed by legendary Michael Giacchino (The Incredibles, Doctor Strange, Guardians Of The Galaxy). When I created the original Marvel Studios cover; I also listened to this and was immediately eager to do this once finished with the first.  This was a blast because I grew up with theme in my head from the cartoon, & Michael did magic to create the score.  So credit to him for making incredible music.  This took about a day as well. This is a cover of the theme 'New Avengers,' from the motion picture Avengers: Age Of Ultron Starring Robert Downey, Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, with James Spader as Ultron & Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.  The original score was composed by both Brian Tyler (Fast Franchise, Iron Man 3) and legendary Danny Elfman (Batman, Bettlejuice).  This theme was composed by Danny, and features motifs from Brian's theme & the original Avengers theme (composed by Alan Silvestri).  You hear his flavor all over it; which made this even more difficult to re-create.  As Avengers:Endgame is being released (4-26-19) at the time of this posting, I wanted to do a theme from one of the movies.  This was by far my favorite and it really tested my theory.  "Heroes," also by D. Elfman; has a similar motif, but this is featured in the end credits.

New Avengers - Avengers Age Of Ultron (Cover)

This is an orchestral cover of the main theme from the motion picture ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’  It stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yeltsin, Bruce Greenwood, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, & Benedict Cumberbatch.  The original score was composed by Michael Giacchino (The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Spiderman: Far From Home).  This is one of the best scores I’ve heard, plus I’m a huge ’trekkie' & had to give it a try.  I focused on not just playing chords; but learning how every instrument was played.  It took about 2 weeks from start to finish; listening to every detail and trying to get all the parts right-the trills, rips, choir vibratos, even some of the bow changes.  I did this all one my 4GB MacBook Air with a huge lift from EastWest Composer Cloud thanks guys); all by ear, and all in MIDI. NBA On CBS Theme (Cover)

This is an orchestral cover of the main theme - Enterprising Young Men - from the motion picture ‘Star Trek.’  It stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yeltsin, Bruce Greenwood, Tyler Perry & Eric Bana.  The original score was composed by the great Michael Giacchino (Star Trek-J.J. Abrams, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Spiderman: Far From Home).  After I created the cover from ‘Into Darkness’ I wanted to see if I could do better with the first movie’s score.  Although they have similar melody lines, this is a totally different arrangement.  This motif is during the scene when the crew first boards their newly constructed flagship; the USS Enterprise NCC-1701.  This took about 4 days from start to finish; ALL ear, and ALL MIDI. Enterprising Young Men (Cover)

Space; the final frontier.  This is an orchestral cover of the main theme from the animated series of ‘Star Trek.’  It features the voices of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy & DeForest Kelley.  The original score was composed by the great Ray Ellis ($ale Of The Century, Scrabble, Time Machine).  After I created the covers from the motion pictures, I wanted to do this classic theme.  I never really watched ST:TOS as it was cancelled before I was born; but I definitely got my ‘trekkie’ fix with this series. One of my all-time favorite cartoons & themes.  I tried my best to recreate the intimacy of the original & used a minimal amount of instruments.  This took about 2 days from start to finish; ALL ear, and ALL MIDI. Star Trek The Animated Series (Cover)

This is an orchestral cue created for action/epic types of cues, trailers, etc.  It features the lovely voice of Uyanga Bold.  In the key of Emin; it starts with a haunting drone/solo bassoon combination followed a 70 piece string section playing con sordino.  It's then followed by the silky voice of Ms. Bold & after some sound FX, gets aggressive with taiko drums & low string ostinatos.  The accompaniment then takes shape with viola & 2nd violins playing the main ostinatos; finally bringing in woodwinds, 1st violins & brass playing 1/16th triplets.  The a3 Horns plays the main melody line with a countermelody by a3 Tenor Trombones.  This whole piece is screaming EPIC!!!

The Moment Has Arrived Ft Uyanga Bold

This is an orchestral cover to the score “Crossing Mars,” from the motion picture ‘The Martian’ starring Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Kristen Wiig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sean Bean, Michael Pena, Kate Mara, Sebastian Stan, Donald Glover & Benedict Wong.  The original score was composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Equalizer films, Mulan, Man On Fire).  First, love this movie.  Secondly, I love this score.  Harry really captured the sense of space and isolation; which is right for Matt’s character Nick Watney.  This particular cue comes from Watney crossing Mars to the MAV to get him home.  I wanted to make sure I got the instruments correct as far as orchestration; but the tough part was the FX.  I love the sub bass to bring out the thickness like in the original; and I hope this is worthy of a nod.  Again, all ear and all MIDI.  Comment, subscribe, give a thumbs up.
