Serenity is an emotion that is often obtained after going through sadness and understanding but without reaching resignation. She has a special and unmistakable quality, crossed by thoughts that return keeping us in joy and peace. Probably humans only know an image of true serenity which would be reserved for the gods

My impressions of when long ago I visited a frozen lake in which I found skaters, a pine forest, the snowy path, a flock of birds and a lot of peace.

I leave you here this Spanish Fantasy that aims to translate in the form of a fantastic serenade the spirit of those lands and their people, being on the other hand autonomous music that represents in my imagination many and sometimes indefinite feelings.

This short track is an electronic statement who replaces a verbal one. Like many statements is pompous and patronizing so it generates interference and feedback, spite of which it continues repetitively.

I saw a reflection in the the wood grain of an old cabinet which from my location seamed the face of a bearded character and immediately I knew that the character´s name was Xaripapoulo. He was accompanied with a stubborn and persistent east Mediterranean music. I did a quick sketch of his face, which is the one in the photo and video. This work honors Xaripapoulo that perhaps existed in some other dimension. The track on Youtube is a little longer than the upload to Soundcloud. Hope you like it.

Joy and happiness are the most sought after and lovable among human emotions. However the moments of joy and happiness in the human being are never absolute or last too long, there is always some drama in them and sometimes they transform into conformity without us noticing it. In our life course we have to experience these emotions some or many times and notice that they elevate and transform us, it is little or nothing human not to feel happiness and joy and a mistake to believe that they will not decline. We will be lucky if they transform into calm and conformity and we will hardly be human if they never capture all of our being.

I've launched this account (and my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/edwardcortesmusic ) to spread some of the music I've composed, so all the music that I upload to this page is original and I am the "guilty" of it. 
I've composed in different genres, starting with classical music and also pop, rock, jazz, electronic, electro-acoustic, etc. Sorry if some of my tracks are long for these days ears, I begg you to try to be patient.
