The four track album takes us on a journey across expansive soundscapes accompanied by trumpet and 
ambient electronics for a beautifully unique cinematic sound experience.

All tracks written, performed, and produced by Darkstar83 and 3bc between 2012 and 2013. Trumpet on "Into Ruins" by Tetsuroh Konishi. 


Darkstar83 is the minimalistic ambient work of Konstantinos Konstadinidis from Athens, Greece.
Drawing from melancholic atmospheres and feelings of the mind Darkstar83 paints a dark and 
spacious sonic-scape with his work.

3bc is an ambient/electronic/experimental project of Don Cook, a Los Angeles based musician and composer. Primarily working with virtual instruments, Don weaves an engaging tapestry of sound from soothing melodic tones to the dark spaces of the sonic spectrum.

One day when I visited our friends I saw an oil-painting on the wall about Chinese village boys. It inspired me to compose this song in pentatonic scale

This short track is an electronic statement who replaces a verbal one. Like many statements is pompous and patronizing so it generates interference and feedback, spite of which it continues repetitively.

This music was suggested to me by a mystical  pyramid who appear on the earth  a December 12 centuries ago.

Eye See Three

A track composed to score a silent montage of a video documentary showing images from a sport-trekking event toured in Argentina. 
The movie was ripped and re-framed from an old VHS tape by courtesy of Cineway, Milan. 
The music in this case was largely layd down by assembling pre-produced instrumentals and following a meticulous pre-production work for the selection of the extra musical materials: short loops, one-shots for percussive stems, synth presets and ambience effects. 
All the final editing and video sync work was accomplished with a Pro Tools system.

Borderline

Few days ago, while driving the Syrius-Rigel Highway, I stopped for a cup of coffee in a "Spaceloon". A jazz concert was playing on the stage by a weird metal band. 
Here's a recording of one of the music I listened I took with my smartphone, including the enthusiastic alien crowd cheering at the band and me at the phone telling my rigelian friend I would be late.

The Urban Jungle

I've launched this account (and my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/edwardcortesmusic ) to spread some of the music I've composed, so all the music that I upload to this page is original and I am the "guilty" of it. 
I've composed in different genres, starting with classical music and also pop, rock, jazz, electronic, electro-acoustic, etc. Sorry if some of my tracks are long for these days ears, I begg you to try to be patient.

I hope you can enjoy my music and your comments will be more than welcome,  and I hope to interact with your opinions. 

It's easy to like a track but it's much more valuable to me if you comment or share my music.
