One of the most busy and consistently excellent producers in all of electronic music is Boris Bunnik, and now he is back under his most loved alias, Conforce, on his most regular home, Delsin. As well as releasing as Versalife, Hexagon and many other monikers, the Dutchman is best known for his serious deep and underwater tracks that are part dub, part ambient and part techno. 

Opening up this new EP is title track 'Depth Over Distance'. Driven by buried deep kick drums, up top are thin lead lines that leave trails like beams of light as ticking percussion and more widescreen synths flesh out the airwaves. 'Plateau' is less spacious and has more detail in its midst including clacking hits which reverb off into the distance, supple and subtle bass notes and a general sense of aqueous fluidity all characterise this brain soothing bit of music. 

On the flip, 'Rendez-Vous' is more directed at the dancefloor with big drums, cold and edgy chords and gentle acid lashings. It's vast in size and scale once more, and drives along with a sense of muted menace. Finally, 'Closer' is another airy and cavernous bit of ambient music that is sombre and serious. Swathes of echo and reverb make for an immersive, underwater soundscape once again and close out the EP in devastatingly emotive style.

After making waves with early and idiosyncratic EPs on labels like Rush Hour and Astro:Dynamics, singular UK talent BNJMN now steps up to make his debut on Delsin with six tracks of experimental and inventive noise and techno. 

'Coil' opens his account with screechy, unnerving synths squeals, imposing and throbbing pads and super deep kick drums that come at you from miles below. It's a hugely textured and spine tingling affair before the ambiance of 'Berth' comes rippled with glassy and alien little melodies. 'Merge' has turbo charged drums hiding beneath more unsettled synth based noise that sound sernee at the same time as being paranoid. 

On the flip, 'And Suddenly' makes your hairs stand on end with is gothic celestial glow and slithering synth patterns, 'Blown' is a damaged and degraded bit of icy, thumping and reverb heavy techno and ‘Azure’ ends on a brain soothing, chilled out ambient high. These are the sort of truly unique and magically textured tracks you would expect from a producer like BNJMN, and mark a fine debut on Delsin.

If there’s one thing Jonas Kopp has proven over the last decade is that he can turn his hand to just about anything. Since debuting on Pfirter’s revered MindTrip Music back in 2006, the Buenos Aires native has managed to rack up a rich and compelling discography, coursing with ease through electronic music’s various forms. From warm Chicago house through to deep, dark and driving techno on labels like Deeply Rooted House, Stroboscopic Artefacts and more, Kopp’s hypnotic and heady sentiment has remained the red thread throughout, which has allowed him to flourish as one of techno’s more liberal dance floor purveyors. More recently, for Illian Tape he strayed out of the ring entirely to deliver two billowing, orchestral-sized ambient works; proof that there’s still plenty more to come from someone already so well-versed and dexterous in his craft.
It’s high time then, that Jonas Kopp should present his first full-length eort. “Beyond The Hypnosis” weaves Kopp’s discursive repertoire into a single and concise narrative, covering both familiar ground and exploring new and spellbinding territories, along with just a hint of cosmic neo-retroism that makes this a welcomed edition to the Tresor catalogue. Despite having just a single release on the label so far, “X” featuring on DJ Hell’s 2013 Kern Vol.2 compilation, Kopp has been a firm fixture at the club since 2011. Jonas Kopp is the next in line of contemporary luminaries that Tresor proudly welcomes to the fold.

This is Kopp at his most wayfaring with titles like “Seven” and “Green Square” showing o more of the producer’s flare for spacey, subaqueous music. There is of course plenty of floor-facing material as well, delivered with less stringent functionality than we’ve seen from him before. The perverted “Tau Ceti”, for example, or the basement-dwelling single “Red Plented” have been tarnished with the same brush as this album’s more dreamier moments, setting them apart from stand-along experiments to work collectively as a symbiotic and fully-fleshed whole.
“Beyond The Hypnosis” will be available on CD and 2LP, accompanied by the “Red Plented EP”, featuring two titles exclusive to this 12”.

After a great return to form on a recent Klockworks EP, Dutch techno practitioner Steve Rachmad aka Sterac is back with a hot new track for Delsin. Originally released on a limited white label run earlier in summer, it now comes backed with remixes by Fachwerk's Mike Dehnert, VRIL and US twosome Anthony Parasole & Phil Moffa, as well as with some typically textural and boutique artwork by the excellent Boris Tellegen.
