Hey guys!! Well on Saturday, September 14th, I had a very special honor of being on the opening roster for the one-and-only, MARKUS SCHULZ, which was definitely a Bucket List DJ/Producer to open for, for me.. I’ve been a fan of Markus since the early days of my trance obsession, the early 2000’s, and have purchased so many of his tracks over the years, and/or tracks from his label, Coldharbour Recordings, not to mention being an avid listener of his weekly podcast, Global DJ Broadcast. For this show, Markus had his own opener, Tim Clark, so I got the early spot, and unfortunately was only given a 45 minute time slot to allow for some extended sets for the headliners. Also, I was bummed that I didn’t get to meet Markus or get my token “Headliner selfie” haha, which sucked, but oh well, I was just happy to be there and get to play some music for a packed club, even for the early spot. For this set I wanted to keep it pretty progressive and slower BPM’s, but I really liked this blend of tracks, and also had to pull in a few of my faves from my recent “Prog Sessions” demo mix, because they were just too good to not bust out for a live club session.
