It can’t be easy to follow up on one of the biggest club tracks of the summer, but if there’s one man who’s made it his lifelong mission to deliver hit after hit without compromise, it’s EDX. 

Still riding high from the release of his sun-drenched tribal single ‘Ubuntu’, which topped the Beatport charts within just a few days of its release back in June, the Grammy-nominated Swiss producer, DJ and Sirup Music label boss now returns with his second massive record of the summer – and his fourth original single of the year – as he presents ‘Stay’.

Out now on Spinnin’ Records, ‘Stay’ sees EDX conjure up another huge vocal cut, as he looks set to emulate the international success of his first two crossover singles of 2019 – ‘Who Cares’ and ‘Off The Grid’. With more than twenty-five years studio experience under his belt, ‘Stay’ is yet another production masterclass from Maurizio Colella, as his inimitable signature style is placed front and centre alongside old-school riffs, animated basslines and the catchiest of vocal hooks.

The release comes in the midst of a huge summer of international touring for the Swiss hit-maker, who can be seen performing headline sets at some of the most revered festival stages and DJ booths the world over. One of the most dedicated, hard-working characters in the industry, Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and label head, EDX, has spent almost three decades at the forefront of electronic music. Founder of the internationally renowned record company Sirup Music in 2002, which has released hits from the likes of Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Steve Angello, Tiësto and more — and in joint-venture with Enormous Tunes his ‘Helvetic Nerds’ crew of Nora En Pure, Daniel Portman, Croatia Squad and Sons of Maria — Maurizio's own vast catalogue of chart-topping original productions and remixes has amassed hundreds of millions of streams and an adoring international fan-base in the process.
His ‘NoXcuses' radio show on iHeart (formerly on SiriusXM’s Electric Area) is currently broadcast to over 40 countries twice a week and with an international touring schedule that regularly sees him cross multiple countries and continents each week, Maurizio has held residencies at some of the world’s most iconic clubs (Space Ibiza, Privilege Ibiza and Wynn Las Vegas to name a few) and consistently performs at the most esteemed festivals on the global circuit.
With a forced hiatus in international touring casting a shadow over the majority of 2020 and a large part of 2021, EDX used the ‘down time’ as an opportunity to channel his boundless creativity and energy into other parts of his businesses, spending considerable time with his label and management teams in Zürich to navigate the turbulent times and ensure a smooth and quick transition out of lockdown when the moment came. With three US tours under his belt already in 2021 however – not to mention a handful of internationally celebrated, chart-topping hits – EDX is clearly bouncing back from the woes of the pandemic with renewed vigour and replenished energy. Replete with creative aspiration, and with much more music in the pipeline due to drop this year, the recent global blip isn’t going to dampen his spirits. Optimistic that life is now returning to some degree of normality, EDX is raring to get back to where he belongs, as he grabs another year by the horns and makes us dance for all it’s worth.
