Having regularly played and partied together over the years, the 2020 lockdown enabled Dennis Cruz and Josh Butler to finally have the time to collaborate. Resulting in Ahora Todo Va, the first single from Dennis Cruz’s debut album, set for release on Crosstown Rebels this coming summer. UK favourites and label affiliates Gorgon City provide the remix.

If music can be used as medicine, then Ahora Todo Va will heal the darkest of days. Opening the track and setting the scene for what is to come, an excitable crowd can be heard lapping up the voice of an energetic performer. The duo make full use of a range of instruments, from the sophisticated piano keys, rhythm infused drums and increase of excitement throughout resulting in a triumphant crescendo. This is music to make you dance. Dennis explains that “it was so nice to collaborate with Josh on this one, we have shared many moments together. He sent me a tribal Latin idea that he was working on and I loved it, he then sent me the project and we started to work on it together. I’m so happy to release this on Crosstown Rebels”. Dripping in atmosphere, industry heavyweights Gorgon City are on remix duty and create a track reminiscent of the euphoric big stage shows.

At the forefront of the global house scene is Spanish DJ and producer Dennis Cruz, with a number of accolades under his belt. Gaining support across the board, Cruz has released on Solid Grooves, Moon Harbour and Hot Creations among others, and an ever-increasing list of Beatport #1’s resulting in him being one of the highest selling tech house artists. Since bursting onto the scene in 2013 with the acclaimed Got A Feeling, Josh Butler has been a prominent figure in the dance scene. Remixing the likes of Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox and Joris Voorn whilst also warming up for the multi-grammy award winning Nile Rodgers and Chic. Josh has released EPs on Rejected, Defected, Poker Flat, Kaoz Theory and more.

As a DJ, turntablist, and beatboxer for the acid jazz group and grammy nominated artists, Liquid Soul, My Boy Elroy has an extensive resume. He’s opened for huge live acts like Massive Attack, has shared the bill with electronic heavyweights such as Bonobo, and has supported all-time legendary musical greats such as Stevie Wonder and BB King. In his DJing and production, he combines a potpourri of elements ranging from instrumentals, to Nu Disco vibes, to Tech House grooves and more, with his percussionist background to create his unique eclectic sound.
An up-and-coming singer and songwriter from suburban Chicago, Frankie B has been singing her entire life. In school growing up, she won every talent show she participated in and went on to start writing her own songs at the age of 15. She plays in a band and they play both originals and covers in Spanish and English, having performed at a number of prestigious venues around Chicago. Not tying herself to any specific genre and committing to a lifetime of music, her future looks bright already, and she’s just getting started.
RJ Pickens is a longtime Chicago resident artist with 15+ years of notable gigs and residencies under his belt, is a hardworking producer with some thought-provoking releases to his name, and is the captain behind all things Vested. In addition, he's contributing to the re-edit of this track under the Carbon Copy pseudonym with longtime friend and co-conspirator, My Boy Elroy.

One of the most dedicated, hard-working figures in the industry, Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and label head, EDX, has spent almost three decades at the forefront of electronic music. Founding the internationally renowned record company Sirup Music in 2002, his imprints have chartered hits by iconic acts including Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Steve Angello, Tiësto and more. Establishing a joint-venture with Enormous Tunes, his Helvetic Nerds crew (including Nora En Pure, Daniel Portman, Croatia Squad and Sons of Maria) have seen global domination with their distinct sound. Aside from playing a crucial role in nurturing many successful artist careers over the years, his own vast catalogue of chart-topping original productions and remixes have amassed one billion streams on Spotify alone, and attracted an adoring international fan-base in the process.

The forced hiatus in international touring during much of 2020 and 2021 allowed EDX to channel his creativity and energy into other parts of his business. He spent considerable time with his label and management teams in Zürich to navigate the turbulent period and ensure a smooth and quick transition out of lockdown. 
 
Back in full force, 2022 was one of his most prolific years to-date, boasting an array of releases on prestigious imprints, including Don’t Be Afraid with Allie Crystal and sampling Dennis Parker’s iconic Like An Eagle in Holy Wood with Frey. Continuing this momentum in 2023, EDX released Renascence, and reunited with Frey to revisit an all-time dance classic The Rhythm Of The Night, receiving special permission from the original’s creator Roberto Zanetti. 
 
Entering 2024 ready to showcase the magic he has been cooking up in the studio, EDX brought his first single of the year to light titled Vividra. Dedicated to experimenting with new sounds, while maintaining his indomitable EDX production quality, his next release Setema breathes modern flair into his globally adored sound. Tried and tested from Miami to Ibiza over recent months, it has formed an instant connection with audiences in every set. His impressive musical output keeps him at the helm of the scene, and is one of the most cherished acts in dance music; a position that he has held for almost three decades.
