For the 8th Tape of our mix series we have a live recording from last October's 3024 x INTERCEPT night at Area51 in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) by one of Holland's brightest DJ talents, Jasmín !


3024: Jasmín, can you describe your mix in a single sentence ?

Playing in the middle of a very fun night made me pick my boldest tracks in the playlist I had prepared, including a bunch of UK classics. 

3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

So many of them, but Batu is always a favourite of mine. He plays eclectic, but it always comes together as a whole. I saw him close De School in December on a Timedance night I had opened, and I just had to stay until the end (somewhat past 8:00), because I was really dancing, but he also kept me so curious about what he was going to play next. It’s a true skill to be able to surprise people without it feeling too random, and keep up a groove for the whole set at the same time. 

3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming?

Right now I’m just trying to make a lot of different tracks to eventually have a good amount of music to choose from for a full EP. Not sure yet what’s going to come out of that. So nothing forthcoming yet. Between DJing, some freelance work, and life (lol), it’s not always easy to find a full day where I can sit down and completely focus on making music. I’m hoping 2024 is the year of the great workflow for me!

Apocalypse

We’ve listen to this track so many times that we’ve lost track of time. “Time” is an absolutely stunning track from Pachanga Boys, the duo of Rebolledo and Superpitcher. It clocks in at almost 16 minutes, but we still can’t enough of it. From their recently vinyl-only EP “Girlcatcher” on their Hippie Dance imprint. Eelco has been obsessed with music since a very young age. Like many Techno DJ’s he’s always had an eclectic taste in music that goes from metal to jazz to classical, drum & bass, hip hop, etc. He had an epiphany when he went to his first AWAKENINGS techno party in Amsterdam many years ago. Since then he’s been addicted to this pulsing sound. His favorite styles are Techno and Electro. “The first time I walked into a Warehouse. And FELT that hard Bass, sharp hi-hats, and hypnotizing techno sound, I knew I had come home. 
I want to spread my religious passion for the sounds of proper TECHNO!
